The City of Pittsburgh - March 5th, 2007

Does anyone have a fax number for the Wilkinsburg tax collector? I have had little to no luck calling the borough with other issues, and I am about ready to throw in the towel. I recently purchased a house in Wilkinsburg, but work in the city of Pgh and I have to fax them the form for them to fill out so I don't get city taxes deducted from my paycheck.

Also, has anyone else ever had any trouble with getting an "occupancy permit?" I was told after I bought my house that we had to have someone from the borough come out and inspect our house. Our sellers paid some $85 fee to the borough that was supposed to cover this, but so far, the woman who answers the phone at the code enforcement office has been a total b*tch and refuses to help me. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

Is there a website with reviews (or can anyone offer a rundown) of the different karaoke nights around Pittsburgh? For instance, are there any that specialize in specific genres of music or are they all pretty standard top-40 and classic rock? Do any have especially good *quality* music (e.g., doesn't sound like muzak)? Thanks!
