there are some more data maps of Pittsburgh's neighborhoods underway.

This is kind of clunky to use- I found i sometimes had to turn off all other visible layers to see my active layer- but it gives a good graphic representation of crime rates, voter turnout, fires and so forth in 2005. (I'd like to see one with more recent updating.)

This is a "heat map" showing average home listing prices. I don't know how reliable it is if it only averages current listings- there are a lot of houses in my neighborhood, for example, that sat on the market for months before finally selling at a much lower price.

Maphub.org has apparently been updated, but it hasn't really grown into its potential just yet. Still fun to look at.

Last night I found my car parked at the corner of Negley and Friendship Aves.
A window was missing, the interior smelled like reefer, and whoever stole it left an opened box of condoms in the console.
