I have never seen a picture from this series in colour before.
Makes it feel like a different project almost.

On his website, he's got a few images in colour, but yeah, they're predominantly black and white.
I especially like the retro feel to the colour images.

simply put, cover up all of the light sources with black paper, leave a small hole, everything will appear upside down (because you have no lens which turns the image 'right side up' like our eyes).
that's a really general and un-technical way of describing it.
