AboutA new community for fans of the 1991-1992 Hanna-Barbera fantasy animation series The Pirates of Dark Water.
(It's the one with the monkey-bird, and the ship made of bones, and the black water that eats/kills pretty much everything it touches. And it's the one with the awesome swear words--"Noy Jitat!" and "Chongo Longo!" to name a few.)
If you're a fan, totally feel free to drop in and say hi, and to share your memories and musings and whatnot about this awesome cartoon. There aren't too many rules here--we're just here to be nostalgic and to share our love and appreciation for the show with other fans.
If you're wondering where you can find episodes for purchase/download, go here and read the first 2 answers. The only official releases of the show were on VHS--1 90-minute video (a version, with edited content and background music, of the first 5 episodes, titled "The Saga Begins") in NTSC/PAL format, and 2 others just in PAL in the UK.
