Ah, DC Comics, have you ever made a more blatant (canon) fanservice character than Powergirl? :?

Here's (very well) fanmade video of Powergirl, when she needs to take "time off" from superheroing, and find a day job. The actress playing her is cast PERFECTLY, IMO.

And to top that off, The Flash gets a speeding ticket.

15 Strangest Keyboards
I've seen some before, like the electronic laser keyboard, and the one-handed keyboard, but I'd really like one of them Customizable keyboards. And who WOULDN'T want to try out the keyboard bra?
*also a fun site to explore other lists on*

GIANTmicrobes
Whether maladies as simple as Bad Breath or Athlete's Foot, something more naughty like Herpes or Syphilis, or all the way to The Black Death---This website has the plushie doll to satisfy your disease-loving desires, without actually making anyone sick. They even have critters like Dust Mites and body tissue such as Brain Cells or Sperm Cells.

12 'Dead Technology' Advertisements
An article on 12 devices that were supposedly revolutionary at the time; it's interesting because some (i.e. BetaMax and Laserdisc) have gone the way of the Passenger Pigeon, whereas some listed here still exist on the market but in more updated forms, or have evolve.into something more advanced (like VCR's, and Dial-up Internet).

Physics 1021: Bread is Dangerous
This is the very same way that people can discourage other persons of "less intellect thus easier pursuasion" (ergo gullible) from eating/drinking anything that contains Dihydrogen Monoxide (aka H20).

On the other side of things, a very true article about why one should not drink Mountain Dew in large quantities (or at all, for that matter). All you Gamers, seriously, switch to root beer or something.

After taking a sabbatical from LJ, I'm back, and might as well post in my own community.

This scene made the whole movie worth it. And as someone who can be (literally) turned on by clever math, I find it one of the most memorable movie moments and poems.

Also, here's a brief description of the story behind the poem (which written before, not for, the movie).

And while we're at it, Math Humor.
I find each of these brilliant.

[music |The Grinding of Teeth! TEETH! Aaaaaahh!]

Gotta get a post in for the new year!

2 legislative gems from Snopes, both true:

Minnesota Bill proposing creation of a poet laureate is written in rhyming verse
Having had a college class whats textbook was just a thick compilation of actual laws in legalese, this one is quite pleasant.

The State of Idaho passed a resolution commending Jared and Jerusha Hess for the production of their film Napoleon Dynamite
"...any members of the House of Representatives or the Senate of the Legislature of the State of Idaho who choose to vote "Nay" on this concurrent resolution are "FREAKIN' IDIOTS!""

And for rolleyes,
The Top 500 Worst Passwords of All Time
“…Approximately one out of every nine people uses at least one password on the list! And one out of every 50 people uses one of the top 20 worst passwords.”
And it seems ~1/6 of them are pornographic.

Pork and Beans by Weezer
A music video showcasing a collage of some of the "best" viral YouTube memes/celebriy personalities.
They got cameos from the original Gary Brolsma (Numa Numa kid), Mentos & Dr Pepper fountain artists, Tay Zonday ("Choclate Rain"), Dramatic Chipmonk, Charlie the Unicorn, Afro ninja... interacting with the band. Check out Wikipedia entry for full list.

Also, really catching tune.

I've been a little out of it for a while, but I'm wanting to liven things up around here. I've also updated the rules in the info page. More later.

Firstly, an image-heavy one
Amazing Cosplayers
This is a collection of the some of the most well-made costumes, including some faces that fit the characters spot on! Limited entirely to sexy girls, from animes & video games.

Then, for the lolz,
If Star Wars Was an Anime
Limited to the original trilogy, a list of things that would be different (better, or worse is a matter of opinion) if it were done as an Anime instead of my Lucasfilm. There's a lot of truth in this one, if you ask me =)

I really loved the Dark Knight soundtrack- so much I'm buying the new collectible one they have on pre-order right now at www.darkknightscore.com. Apparently there's 50 extra minutes of music and some remixes with Crystal Method. Fuck. Yes.
