Have you ever found yourself impulsively wandering into the young adult section in your local bookstore and then pretending to look at the magazine rack across the aisle when someone walks by?
Have no shame! This community is for you.
Although our username is PikeOwnsYou, we are open to all kinds of young adult authors! Though our Young Adult years have passed us by, our appreciation for the literature created for that demographic has not. This community celebrates all Young Adult authors, genres, and subject matters. Please join and share in our passion for young adult fiction. Pike owns you!

The PikeOwnsYou Rating System
Come join us, and tell us what you think about a book by RATING IT!! WOOHOO!!
A= Lots of teen slang, hot sexual insinuations (BODS!!), supernatural influences, metaphors in poignant scenes, mysterious element reveled at end—all packed into one shboom that rocks your socks off. This book comes for a high recommendation for all community members to consider purchasing, even with our varying degrees of interest.
B= Lots of the same elements that make an A book great, only with a couple of elements missing/or unsatisfactory. This grade belongs to the one character in a really good book that you just HATE for some reason cause they are lame or not entertaining but you spend so much time thinking about just this one little character that it sort of tarnishes the book a bit. Well that’s a bit too specific, but you get the picture. This rating basically tells community members: Look for this book on sale or in a used bookstore, it’s worth it, but maybe not at full price.
C= Neutral book. There is nothing great about it, but also nothing really awful. Similar elements may even be brought about in the plot but they are done in a truly boring way. The inherent cheese lines aren’t even humorous. This is a rating that tells community members: if you must read this make sure there is first nothing better around and then make sure you have borrowed from a friend or found it lying in a park somewhere.
F= Wait—why did I waste my time reading this? I want that time back!! What a piece of worthless crap! When a book gives you this feeling, it’s time for the F. I can’t really think of any Pike books that are worthy of the F, but if you find an F book in anything, please share. I’m sure it would cause the most debate. And this rating is obviously a warning to other readers: Don’t waste your time like I did, you will regret it.
+/- = Varying degrees of goodness or badness within the category, when something needs an extra umph but it is not heavy enough to take it to the next letter grade.
