I love the way Jin is having some sort of meeting of minds with the first pig. Love it I tell you! They're clearly discussing their love of Babe, Babe 2: Pig in the City and er Men's ~~Pig~~3gg magazine.

I just joined today If you want to know more about me, see my profile and say hello. I am glad to meet you all. This is also the occasion for me to plug my newly-made pig-related artwork on merchandise (I hope this is appropriate...)

My only vaguely preachy item of clothing is PIG related. Here it be!

I'm a bad vegetarian so I can't say I really judge those who eat pigs very harshly, but if you do eat them at least be nice to them before/while they are carking it. Go on.

Hi to everyone!!! I just wanna say I am a huge pig fan not only collecting piggy stuff but I would love to have a pig of my own one day. I just wanted to know if anyone has info on how big a pot belly pig will grow? And if anyone knows about miniature pigs? I have looked at some mini pigs sites and it said that a mini will only grow to the size of a medium dog. I don't know if this is right or if there is any other info on what it is like to have a mini pigs. Thanks for all you guys can offer.

We spent much of our evening outdoors, eating grass and dipping in the baby pool. Well the piggies did, I spent mine drinking a beer and snapping pics of all the cuteness. This is Freds second time to explore outdoors. Normally I bring him in right after he goes potty. Sam showed Fred the way and it is just so awesome watching Fred learn from Big Sam. (Warning* lots of pictures behind the cut)

This is Sam, AKA Sammy, Mommas "Big" baby. He is soooo sweet and such a great pig brother.

Sammy showing Fred how to drink from a bucket, I use this to keep the Rabbit food in and was cleaning it, Sammy decided it was time for a nice drink and dumped it over as Fred watches.

So Fred gets the idea of how it is done.

Sam heads over to his fresh water pool and takes a SIP

And a DIP, hehe

Then they go back into the yard for some fun and sweet noseys happen, awwww

Hi to everyone. I'm new to livejournal so I'm still learning all the ropes. I found this interest group. I have a potbellied pig named Zach. He is almost two years old. He lives in the house and is housebroken. With summer here he is now shedding badly and his skin is so dry. He hates new people in the house and lets everyone know it too. He can scream at a very high decibal. I sure hope that more people get active here. I notice that not many post. I would love to hear from others on how there pets are doing. Here are a few pics of Zach.

Russian farmers are breeding long-legged racing pigs to meet demand for the new craze of pig racing.

Sergei Spirin, president of the newly formed Federation of Sport Pig Breeders, said the biggest pig racing track was located at Moscow's Crocus-Expo pavilion, but many others were opening up as well.

Spirin, who is also a vet, said the pigs had been coached daily for months to get into prime condition for the gruelling races.

He said: "These swine are long-legged, lean, nimble, in good sporting form - and craving for victory.

"Conditioned and unconditioned reflexes play an important role in coaching. The swine don't have a feed before the start of training, and get a carrot at the finish."

Thomas Pynchon is a big pig fan. Apparently he wrote Gravity's Rainbow in a room full of pig memorabilia. The novel also contains the memorable song:

Does anyone here know anything about pot belly pigs?

My piglets hair is falling out (which is normal, he's shedding) but his skin is flaking off, too...and he's a black pig...and the skin coming off is black, but where the skin has flaked off, its white.

So he looks bald.

I dunno if its depression, or lack of vitamins, or mites, or if its normal?

Eeek? Anyone?

Well here are some pictures of my Shanks! he's officially 3 months old as of monday!! im so attached to him already i dont know how im going to let him go at auction time. he follows me around the yard now and grunts at me when i come to his pen!
