I'm April, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) aprilbegins, 23 from Oregon. Graphic design isn't just a hobby; it's my intended career path (web design specifically). I'm a double major in French and graphic design at Southern Oregon University. This community should have been made about two years ago, but that's okay, since I've had more time to refine my skills.

My first website was created in 1997. I've focused on graphic design since 1999. I've found that I'm not particularly talented with fandom collages, but I can do icons really well. I actually have confidence with such. Despite two hard drive disasters, I still have an LJ icon collection of over 500 (and I know if I had everything I'd ever made, the total would be much more impressive). I'm known for my icons; I do them not just for myself but for friends and strangers too. I currently do my LJ-related designing in Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady, and ashamedly, Jasc Animation Shop.
After you've joined, go to the requests thread! Submit your request and you'll soon be assigned a number. To be fair and organized, I am starting to fill requests via this system.
Once I fill your request, should you choose to use the icon, please credit me in the keywords as either pie_slices or aprilbegins. It's only fair.
