Him: Why do you have so many blueberries?
Me: They were $4.99 a quart.
Him: What are you going to do with them?
Me: I'm not sure yet.
Him: Then why did you buy so many?
Me: I just told you, they were $4.99 a quart!

Having eaten my weight in blueberries, I feel quite sick.

My favorite way to have blueberries is in milk. I eat them like one would cereal. The milk really brings out the flavor of the berries.

I do like them in milk but I prefer them with yoghurt and honey.

You can freeze them for later or other uses.

Try mixing some frozen ones in with vanilla ice cream in a blender. Nummy!

I mix them with frozen banana, frozen strawberries, milk and peanut butter in the blender to make a really good fruit smoothie.

I wish blueberries were still in season here. I pay about $3.99 for a small container.

frozen blueberries are a gajillion times better than fruit-flavored popsicles. Scientifically proven.

I still love them though. Fresh berries are one of the few things I love about summer in steamy NYC.

Well, that and the girlies in their summer clothes...

I've never had it - totally give that a try after a friend comes back from apple-picking next weekend.

In high school I took AP English and we did all this hardcore intense analytical writing. Well for my mid-term we were handed a poem called "Blueberry Picking" and asked to parallel the literal act of picking blueberries to the figurative thoughts the writer was trying to express.
The end result?- NO ONE could figure out a way to make it work; my best friend actually ended up writing something crazy about the juice of the berries relating to the blood of John the Baptist somehow. It was a TOTAL fiasco.

Anyways, I will never look at blueberries the same way ever again.
