Espresso anyone?

I'm recently single.

For two years, I woke up, staggered to the kitchen and made two double shots of espresso. Even though we broke up five months ago, I kept doing that until about a month ago. Stopping was a good thing because I was over-caffeinated like a squirrel on crack.

But this week, I've been traveling so my head's a bit wonky; so today, I woke up and made two cups of espresso, again.

Dammit.

At least it’s good coffee, and the caffeine-shakes keep me warm.

Always look on the bright side, I say...

Habits are funny that way.

This is what I like. I like the story behind the food. Otherwise it's just two cups of espresso.

I like seeing cups of coffee during the wintertime even though I don't like coffee. It makes me feel all warm inside. Hahah

i really like this post. i think the story behind the food pic is a nice touch. :)

i remember after my last relationship i was suddenly cooking for one again and at first i found it really hard not to cook enough food for two.

For one thing, stop making two cups of coffee.

Mine was about four years. We lived together for the last two so it was like a marriage and this is a lot like a divorce. We're actually talking again after several months but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

It's prob. not a good thing, actually.

we're still kind of in the breaking up stage still. we live together. have a dog. we haven't quite worked out those details yet. we're going to try to keep living together until the lease is up in june. doubtful it will work in the long run though.

yeah... my husband and i still live together (in separate rooms- awkward!) because neither of us wants to leave the house we own together. we have three dogs, three cars, and a mortgage. nothing that splits nicely, in other words.

Time does heal things. My brother just got divorced and it was hard on me watching a video he made of himself (http://www.loganlo.com/videos/2006/11/i-could-just-cry.html) but I'm much better now.

You will be too. Just get the heck outta Dodge.

BTW, my new roommate also just moved out of her boyfriends place into my place so there's plenty of company for you in brave new world.

I see, hence the drinking that you be doing lately.
Till this day I refuse even to learn how to make Turkish coffee or espresso, I preffer my husband to do that for me in the morning. Maybe when I be in NY I can stop by for a cop of joe?

Thank you for the story behind the espresso, it was lovely to read. I always wonder about the people who post. (Things like...What were they thinking as they prepared it? Did they have their camera with them or did they have to fetch it, say, from the car downstairs? Don't they find it a bit silly?)

I totally understand. We all search for love so eagerly because it has the power for complete (or potential) happiness; but at the same time, it blinds us to certain things.

I just started going through my flist, so I found the mod post first before finding this post. And I went Uh uh...and finally understand the context of the rule. I don't understand why all the fuss about the text. This kind of entry will make the food pictures all the more interesting. But, hey, she's the mod. It's her community.
