yesterday afternoon, very shortly before my boss left for her weekend trip, i told her i was going to apply for another job in the company.
she said she would be disappointed to see me leave, but is glad that i want to move on.
this afternoon, very shortly before my work day ended, i applied for two jobs.
neither of them actually sounds that interesting, but both would be more money. and one of them actually requires a bachelors. that aside though, i'm not quite what they are looking for for either position. and i'm not sure the little blurb i wrote is convincing. it asks for a short response, but i'm afraid my three line response is too short.
but the worst that happens is i don't hear back anything about either job.
my expectation is that i do hear back, but don't end up with either job.
my hope is that i hear back with alternate suggestions that are more appealing and make use of my degree.
my far-fetched dream is that they take a look at my resume and suggest an appealing open position that i then get hired for.
at least the hard part is over with... though getting interviewed would not exactly be pleasant, it would still be easier than getting over the initial hump of applying. i hated having to contact them, but now they can contact me (or not). |

Having finished Yakuza 1, i'm currently playing #2, and i am in love.
Something about getting drunk on sake and then giving a severe beating to gangsters/hoodies/tramps/business men that just does it for me I suppose!
Anyway this made my day, Yakuza 3 on PS3, my god it's beautiful *0*

Haven't had nearly enough time as I'd like with the game. I've gotten through all the robot bosses except for Hornet Man and Magma Man. I haven't tried Hornet Man yet, but I got to Magma Man and he beat me like a red-headded stepchild. I seriously have no idea how I'm going to beat him unless I go on an E-tank bender.
I was planning on going through the game without any kind of guide, figuring out which weapons worked on which bosses on my own, but so far I haven't used anything except the mega buster for any of them. I've tried some other weapons, and they've either not been feasible to use, or do crap damage. And to complete the opposite of my usual Megaman playing style, I've found uses for many of the weapons throughout the stages instead of just saving them up for the bosses.
Definitely enjoying it, although I'll be ranting about the "downloadable content" later. |

Went to the dermatologist to have the spot checked. She thinks it isn't cancerous but just to be safe she removed the entire thing and sent it off to the pathologist. She also removed the rather large mole on my head and another mole on my head that looked irritated and unusual. Finally she removed large number of skin tags in various places. Individually none of these are very painful but together it's quite irritating. Better safe than sorry though. I have another appointment in 4 weeks for a follow up.
In other plans I have canceled two more subscriptions for services I don't use very often. Netflix is on hold and will probably cancel it soon. My Tivo subscription is going to be canceled as soon as I get the Comcast DVR setup and watch all the stuff saved on the Tivo. Anyone interested in a Humax DVR which is a Series 2 Tivo with a DVD burner? |
