Brandenburger Tor / Brandenburg Gate (Berlin)

Including the historical pictures on display at the brand new metro station "Brandenburger Tor" as well as close ups of the horses , which Napoleon stole,
and which are now back on top of the Brandenburg Gate.

streaks of rain

took those on one of the long train rides everyday from Berlin to Hamburg while riding through a thunderstorm with loads of rain forced to run down the window in streaks that look like the "veins of nature", me thinks.

Tôshô-gû (東照宮) in Ueno-Park - Tôkyô

Tōshō-gū is any Shinto shrine in which Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the last shogunate of Japan, is enshrined with the name Tōshō Daigongen.

Lights of the "ALEXA"

ALEXA is one of the biggest (and latest) shopping malls in Berlin, with more than 180 shops, over 17 different food-places and a gym (fitness centre). It's also called the "Red Giant" and it's located at Berlin's "Alexanderplatz" - hence the name.
