I put together a list (originally for myself, but I figured other people might find it useful) of cheap / free things to do in New Orleans and cheap eats. [here]

Also, the Drunkeaters are once again doing our crazy room parties. People from Lumos will remember us - we had a $10 cup fee, but then all your drinks were free. This is another way to save some $, plus we have some great activities scheduled - NOTABLY SNAPE LOUNGE

Snape Lounge is a night of detention in the dungeon. We have Snape themed drinks, games, door prizes for the first 10 Snapes (so arrive in costume! We'll give you free stuff!) and most of all revelry honoring our favorite potions master!

We also have a vid show. We'll have projector, we have a lot of great vids already, but we're still looking for more! So if you have vids you want to share with an appreciative (if tipsey!) audience, please contact tartpants@gmail.com.

Hey Snape Fans!

For the Snape-a-holics Anonymous Meeting, which is held Thursday evening, does anyone want to meet in the hotel lobby around 8:45 pm and walk to Monteleone Carousel Bar together? It is only a few blocks away and shouldn’t take too much time, but it would be neat to go as a group.

EDIT: I will have a sign with a big Snape on it or something like that in the lobby so you can find me. :) See you guys then!

Just two more weeks!!! The question (actually it's a few questions) this week are about the Half Blood Prince Potions Advanced Potions book...

Snape Question: What do you think is the story behind the HBP book? Was it Eileen's book? Did Severus invent all the spells himself or did he have help? Why was it just sitting around the Potions Lab? Will we hear about it again in Book 7?

Related Question: Do you write in textbooks? Make notes in regular books? Or are you like Madam Pince who believes that the text should remain in tact?

During his owlpost duties, Snarky (that's the Snapecast owl for those who don't know) managed to come across an unclaimed ticket to Phoenix Rising. Since we were already planning to sneak him into PR for free by pretending he's an owl plushie, we've decided to give the ticket to one lucky listener.

Snape Shippers?

Hello all! *waves* chaeche if this is inappropriate, let me know and I will delete. ^_^;

I am trying to shoot a fan video while we are all together at PR next month. It's going to be a music video to the song, 'Ain't No Other Man' and I'm trying to find different people to (in costume) represent different characters that are paired up with Snape. (Preferably I'd like people to represent a Snape-ship they actually like)

We already have a Severus, so I'm looking for people to represent Harry, Lily, Lucius, Draco, Hermione, James, Voldemort, etc, etc. (I already have a couple of the ships represented)

Here's the basis of the video:

Each ship has to try to convince Severus why they are the "One True Pairing" and at the same time, beat out the other ships fighting for Severus's attention. In the end, it's going to be Severus's choice who wins.

If anyone's interested in helping out in anyway, please respond! XD

OK, I really wanted to do a ticketed meetup with our own space and open bar, but it looks like that just isn't going to work. So I would like to do an informal meetup. May 17 seems like the best day for everyone so let's plan to get together for some post dinner Snape-ing. I will bring some Snapecast goodie bags for the first folks who show up. Sorry if this date doesn't work for everyone. Feel free to use the community to pimp other Snapey meetings.

Snape-a-holics Anonymous Meeting
When: Thursday May 17 at 9 PM Central Time (after the Overture Feast) until ???
Where: Monteleone Carousel Bar which is located here. Look for the girl with crazy spiky red hair and a Snapecast tee. I will try to get there early, get a good spot, and bring some kind of sign.
What: Getting together for drinks and communal Snape-ing. Snapecast will have some free goodie bags for the first Snape lovers to show up. I may not be able to resist bringing my laptop to show my favorite Snapey videos. Drabbling, drawing, and everything else is highly encouraged.

Sorry to bombard you all with polls, but I am trying to finalize things and am not sure we will have enough interest to do a ticketed event with a designated space. I have a contract from Napoleon House, but we will need 30 people. The Snape meetup at Lumos packed the Irish Pub and the luncheon sold out in a few hours so I am wondering if everyone who is interested has joined or is responding.

I am starting to think an informal meetup will be the best idea. Please let me know what you think. I've narrowed things down a bit...
