Any material relevant to the City of Phoenix (and the surrounding cities that make up the greater Phoenix area) is welcome. Please try to refrain from posting things like quiz results and excessively large graphics. Also, please keep the content reasonably decent, and the discourse polite. Flamewars will not be tolerated. Please think twice before posting off-color humor, and sexual or violent content is probably notappropriate. Also, polls that do not directly relate to Phoenix AZ are not to be posted.
Picture Posting Policy (updated Jan. 22 2007)
Pictures can be posted to this community journal under the following guidelines:
Personal pictures, scenic shots, etc.: Allowed, must be behind an lj-cut, or alternatively behind a link with a thumbnail no larger than a LiveJournal userpic, and at no time shall the thumbnail file size exceed 10kB.
Event flyers: Allowed, behind lj-cut. A "plain text" edition of the information in the flyer must also exist, outside the cut.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY: since people don't get this, there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding event flyers posted in violation of the above rule. Posting an event flyer that does not observe the above rule will result in an immediate, irrevocable, and permanent ban with no appeal process. The rule is simple, and easy to follow. If you can't, you're gone.
NSFW images: Not allowed. All images must be "safe for work": no nudity or sexual imagery, no graphic depictions of violence, no "drug culture" references.
This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of what is acceptable and what isn't. Keep in mind that this is not a pictures community, and that some people check their lj-friends list on low-bandwidth connections, and that big pictures are an inconvenience. These rules are designed to help everybody out, please follow them.
Under no circumstances is a deleted post of any kind to be reposted. Doing so will result in bannination, period, end of story.

Those in other parts of Arizona are encouraged to participate if it has relevancy, but I would suggest checking out the greater
azjournal community.
Reposting an item that has been deleted will result in your LJ Username being banned.
Above all, have fun and share. This is about you!
