This is an active community. We have a scheduled monthly Stitch & Bitch, usually at one of the members' homes. All members of this community are welcome to attend, no matter what skill level. Please RSVP a comment in the monthly S&B related post.
This is a tolerant community. We do not judge based on whether you knit with acrylic or cashmere. We also do not judge a person because of their looks, habits, or lifestyle. Please be aware that the world takes many types of people to make it so wonderful. Celebrate your differences while sharing your common hobby of knitting. Intolerance will be warned and then banned.
We are an exuberant community where we share our ideas, questions and expertise.
We are a local community. We either: live in, have lived in, or plan to live in; Philly. This means we talk about local shops (including day trips out of Philly) and share local tips (that great sale!)
We are a caring community. We share ideas for charity projects and help each other with those charity goals. If you know of a knitting charity, local or otherwise, that you think we might enjoy, please let us know.
Pictures of your creations are encouraged, as well as appreciated. We enjoy being inspired by what our fellow phillyknitters are creating. Please place any image larger than 450 pixels in any dimension, as well as images beyond the first one in a posting, behind a cut tag. This just helps us keep our friends page from being unwieldy, plus some of us are still on dialup.
