2010 SnB Signups

Here are PK we host our SnBs once a month at a different location. I am posting this before the December host posts her signup date so I don't get anyone confused. If you would like to host a month please leave a comment below. Of course, if things happen I ask that the hosts let me know early to replace their slot.

Only limitations is that you need to have been at an SnB ***BEFORE*** you host one. So if you are new to PK and you want to host you have to come to one of the events before your host month. If you have any questions about hosting, just ask. We would be happy to help answer them.

The months are filled in as follows:

January: [info]clarinka
February: [info]frenchnewwave
March: [info]rhiann31
April: [info]purlewe
May: [info]auntiero
June: [info]virginredrum
July:
August: [info]dragonintherain
September: [info]angela_la_la
October:
November:
December:

Rules (loosely)
I let my volunteers decide how they want to host. They can pick the date and run with it, or host a poll on the community. Go with what makes you feel the most comfortable. Please remember to post several times the month of your event, most especially the week of the event, so that people remember to keep it on their calendars.

If you need to post a capacity limit, we will all understand. Sometimes we cannot fit another person into the shoebox. If people start to cancel, please post that there are spaces that can be filled.

If something happens between now and when you host I understand. Please let me know so I can ask the community for another volunteer. Thank you everyone for hosting.

November SnB!!! Saturday, November 14th!

Hello All!

I just wanted to remind you all that this month's SnB will be taking place tomorrow, from 1-5pm. There is still space if you would like to attend. It will be held in beautiful West Philly, easily accessible by trolley and bus, with on-street parking and space for bike parking.

If you'd like to come (and haven't already responded), please comment, so I'll know how much food to make.

E.

November SnB!!! Saturday, November 14th!

Hello All,

I am hosting November's SnB and for those that don't know me in real life, I live in West Philly. My new place is easily accessible by public transit (hopefully the strike will be over by then) and there should be street parking, if you are driving.

My co-hosts are my very friendly roommates that will probably craft with us. We are a pet-free household (no obvious allergens), although there are tons of cats from next door that hang out on our porch and love to be pet, if you have a hankering.

If the weather is cold enough, we might be able to start up the fireplace!

Picking the date was tricky, with Thanksgiving and all. Although the date is fast approaching, it will be held on Saturday, November 14th, from 1pm-5pm.

If you are interested in coming, please comment here, as well with any goodies you would like to bring and share and I'll add you to the list.

If you need directions, please leave your email in a comment and I'll contact you.

Come one, Come All! I can't wait to see all of you!

October SnB - This Saturday!

Don't forget: If you plan on coming to the SnB on Halloween (this Saturday), please sign up at the original post. There's plenty of space!

Remember, it's a Halloween theme, so costumes and spooky food (not scary like eek! It has higher brain functions) are strongly encouraged. :D

If you need directions or my address, please e-mail me either through LJ or at sodtigger AT gmail DOT com.

Hope to see you there!

October SnB - Spooky! Spooky!

It’s October! And you know what that means… red and gold leaves, crisp apples, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, sweater weather, Halloween, and the next SnB is at my house! Woohoo!

I know normally we do a poll for the actual date, but because my weekends are pretty booked this month (I swear, I just looked away from the calendar for a second!), the SnB will be set for October 31, Halloween, from 1:00 to 6:00. Bring your projects, something tasty to share, and your Halloween Spirit!

Costumes are encouraged. The house does have a dog (who will be all up in everybody’s business because he’s a nosy guy), a very opinionated Siamese, and a kitten who likes to hide under the sofa, but will purr if you come within 10 feet of her. If you are allergic at all, take your meds! :D

Comment here if you’re able to come. The living room has a lot of room, as does the dining room and the kitchen.

Finally, it's easy to get to my house by bus. SEPTA routes 27, 9 and 61 all have stops within easy walking distance. You can also take the R6 to the Ivy Ridge station and we can ferry people to and fro, or you can walk if you’re feeling ambitious (I live in Roxborough. Read: LOTS of hills). E-mail me at sodtigger AT gmail DOT com for the address, directions or other info. :)

I was finally ready to buy me a pair of Regia's transparent wellies by alas they no longer make them.*  But I did find these!  How insane cute are they????!!!!

*My sometimes caustious spending has cost me cute things like these, or the utterly cute keroppi zipperpull I kept telling myself I would always go back and buy.
