July 26 is the S&B!

It is quickly approaching.  You can add your name to the list here.

If you need directions, feel free to email me at v dot wiess at gmail dot com.  There is parking onsite in the small lot...and it is free.  :)  There is also the bus that stops at the 7-11 next door.


Yet again, I want you guys to know that the two monsters will be 'sleeping'  (1 doesn't nap anymore, but does watch movies).  There is a dog and a cat in the apartment, but I am more than happy to contain them to the bedroom with the monster.  Once the monsters wake up from nap they will be going out (hopefully!). 

Meat sticks and condiments will be provided as will diabetic tea and possibly a dessert of some kind....and I will have other stuff to drink.  :)

Other than that, I hope you guys can make it.  :)

Yay! Sunday July 26, for being the winner!

Like I said earlier, I will be providing meat sticks (beef or turkey only), buns of steel, condiments, and diabetic tea....I am sure other things will be available.  Like some sort of dessert....if I get around to it.

The boys will be out of the house after their nap....so there will only be a half hour where they will be running around.  No worries.

I am more than happy to contain the dog and cat if need be.  The fish are already hiding. 

I hope you guys can make it!

July 18 & 19 is a no go because we decided to go camping.  I hope to see people there!  I will announce the date after bedtime on July 1st.  

I am hosting for the first time in July!  Yay parties!

I live in Norristown, off of Main Street.  There is a bus that stops in front of the apartment.  That bus number would be......Bus 131.  It picks up at the transit center which is the end of the line for 100 trolley, and a stop for RR6.

I have 2 young kiddos (which if I can help it will be asleep part of the time and then OUT the rest of the time...hubby will be helping), a large dog and a cat.  There are fish but they are kept contained.   :P

I have seating for around 8-10ish, but could make room if enough people wanted to schlep out to my apt.  

I'm thinking of doing hot dogs (all beef or turkey only).  Yes those wonderful meat sticks!  We have a grill, so that is how they will be cooked...with of course help from the hubby since I have no idea how to get it started. I'll also have the buns and condiments.  There will be sweet tea....and by sweet I mean diabetic causing.  And probably other stuff, who knows. :)

Personally? I love the knitted crab toy.

i've noticed that blocking wires come in all sorts of lengths mostly 24" and 36" with a few in between. they also seem to vary in number and whether or not they include flexible ones.

what's your ideal blocking wire kit?

i really enjoy the knitting daily emails

is there something similar for crochet?

What is the date? Where will it be? How many of us can come?

I just wanted to thank virginredrum for hosting the S&B Saturday.  Your apartment makes me wish I lived downtown.  :)

Hullo all!

The May SNB will be at my apartment in Center City on 16 May 2009 from 1-6p. We're within two blocks of every form of transit into the city, so there's no problem for my fellow transiteers, but parking is on street or in lots/garages, and thus is either expensive, limited, or available if you're willing to walk several blocks.  We have 2 cats who are more or less disinterested in/terrified by people. Consider yourself warned if you're allergic.  The missus wanted me to remind everyone that we have a ballwinder and swift that we're happy to let folks use. :D
