bitterflesh @ 12:11pm: Anyone looking for artwork submissions?
This goes out to all you zine makers who have hard copies and circulate them around- I was contributing to a zine in the works for art and writing with a darker edge, but it fell through because of finances. I made a new artwork piece specifically for that zine. Now I have this piece with no zine. Do any of you out there have a zine in line that encompasses visual art and/or darker kind of content? If so, I'd be interested in submitting the piece I did. If you're interested please leave me a comment here or in my personal journal.I'll send a copy of the artwork in question if I hear any responses. Side note: I did the piece in black and white for maximum photo copy zine goodness. Thanks. (x-posted to many zine communities- sorry if you see this more than once.)

bitterflesh @ 11:50pm: artstar craft bazaar
Hello All, I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with the ART STAR CRAFT BAZAAR. Have you been a vendor there? If so, how well (or not well) did you do? What did you notice seemed to be selling best? I'm thinking of signing up to be a vendor, but I don't have extra money to be throwing around. For me an extra $150 is a lot for a spot. But if it has a wide audience, then it may be worth it. Also, do any of you know of any art or arts & craft events or community type affiliations in the Wilmington/Chester County/Philly area? X-posted to a few arts & crafts communities. Sorry if anyone sees this twice.

diabledejersey @ 7:13am: WILDINOUT.COM - Copyright Infringement - Steals Philadelphia Artist's Work
Denis Sinelnikov, the owner & principle of Media Components with it's primary business address & location being: 67 Buck Road in Huntington Valley, PA 19006 is an unscrupulous THIEF. On the 3rd of July 2007 Denis was given a link to a copyrighted & protected gallery of photographs so that he could include them, via embedding, into his website WILDINOUT.COM. He was not, at any time, given permission to do anything other than to embed the gallery which is branded with my copyright, hosted on my servers, and which remains under my control with links to my payment system for all sales of copies of the images. Well this was not enough for Mr. Sinelnikov and he took it upon himself to reverse engineer my compiled gallery through the use of screen captures in order to obtain copies of the images contained within it. He then proceeded to remove my embedded copyright, and to write over my copyright watermark with his own logos and information. This is a very clear violation of USC Title 17 pertaining to copyrights. Mr. Sinelnikov then proceeded to place the now mutilated photographs onto his website, WildinOut.com represented as his own work. Aside from making these images freely available to download (taking my residual sales income), Mr. Sinelniklov had the audacity to post them to SHUTTERFLY.COM to be printed and SOLD!!! He continued to act in this manner until the 20th of September, 2007 when he tried to cover up his crime by removing the evidence. Well it was too late Denis, your CRIME is permanently and un-disputably (pay particular attention to the last two pages where the overwritten copyright watermark is clearly visible, also note the date and time shown on the website as matching the date and time the PDF was created) documented HERE. If you are interested in the full details and further documentation click HERE THE MAN IS A THIEF. He has VIOLATED FEDERAL COPYRIGHT LAW. He willfully and knowingly stole the work of another and represented it as his own. He has refused to compensate me, the photographer & copyright holder for the damages to my business and my reputation. He represents himself to the local Philadelphia community as a businessman in good standing, yet he has violated the laws of this land without regard. This is NOT ethical business practice, this is a CRIME, a FELONY CRIME at that. The first infringement of copyright is a misdemeanor, the subsequent 121 infringements are not. BOYCOTT ANY EVENT THAT IS SPONSORED BY SINELNIKOV OR HIS WEBSITE WILDINOUT.COM. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A THIEF. Please note that my First Amendment Rights of FREEDOM OF SPEECH permit me to post this information providing that A) The information is 100% TRUE and there is verified supporting documentation & B) All identifying information be a matter of PUBLIC RECORD. I have adhered to these rules and attest to the TRUTH of my statements. - Pedro P. Polakoff III

I haven't really done much in the studio since I finished the TORSOS show. So I thought it was time I get back into the studio after taking the long break. I had a new model come out for a casual unscripted shoot. We did this, it's a little different from what I've done in the past. Model = Lacking Affinity - MM#400798

I'm not a member of EBSQ yet. I was wondering what the perks of joining are. Has it helped any of you get commission work? I'd just like to get perspective from other artists before I put the money into it.

I'm an artist in Kennett Square, PA looking for people in Chester County and the surrounding area that would be interested in collaborating on a street art project. This is set for the future- most likely in the Spring somewhere in one of the parks in the area. We will be using washable sidewalk chalk so as not to ruin whatever space we use. Also, another guideline would be not to make the artwork too crude- the goal of this project isn't to get arrested! [This may change if we have a residence/person who owns a space/driveway who volunteers their lil piece of canvas.] If we are using a public space without permission to put up permanent art no tagging/spray paint, please! If you do this I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU!!!Here are some idea's of what I mean by "street art": SUPPLIES NEEDED:[x] Your own supply of sidewalk chalk [x] Digital cameras/photography equipment for people who wish to photograph the art being made. Post a comment or message me on MY DEVIANTART ACCOUNT , Join the MYSPACE EVENT/ VAMPIREFREAKS EVENT if your interested in participating, have questions, or have a free space to do this!

Would anyone be interesting in being a co-moderator? Most of the time I check LJ at work and since some of the art pieces on this community are NWS, I rarely get to check up on the community. I'm pretty much looking for someone to keep the peace and delete any spamming posts. First one who responds who is interested, ya got the "job".

h_y_d_e @ 11:30pm: Help Support Lithium Picnic!
Hi There Art and Photography Lovers. :) I'm posting this to let you all know that my work is now on sale again, and this time, every print you buy will be helping to support Phil at Lithium Picnic in his fight with Suicide Girls. Until such time as Phil tells me otherwise, or the case ends, 50% of every print sale I make will go to his defense fund. This could get extremely expensive for him, and if you love his work as much as I do, help him out. My prints are on sale for $50.00, and that includes Shipping in the price. For Full Details on how to order, and what's available can be found at: http://www.perfect-drug.org/prints.html( Here are Some Examples of what you can buy today! )
Thank you all for your support in advance. Hopefully, with your help, this can make a difference in his case.
