| About: |    Mean spirited? Perhaps. Necessary? Oh, so! Let's face it - as much as we love Phantom, this fandom is FULL of wankability. Sappy, fluffy Erik/Christine fic, abusive!Raoul, WTF?pairings, infuriatingly perfect Mary-Sues, inane and rehashed conversations about This Phantom vs. That Phantom or Erik vs. Raoul, spelling EVERYTHING with a "ph," Erik being the most sexually masterful virgin on earth, and, of course, all the wonders spelling and grammar could possibly provide... Come! Let us laugh at stupidity! ---- Standard rules apply - big posts under cuts, no broken links, yadda yadda. Other rules: 1) Please refrain from posting just a few sentences about how your teacher said "ingenious" or you saw someone named Erik. A. These posts will be allowed, but please wait until you have at least three or four of these experiences/pictures. Then, you can put them all in one post. Or, of course, you can mention it at the end of a proper fic wank. B. If you post your experience to the community and do not follow the above rule, I will delete your post. However, I will save the text you've written, and after a week or so, I'll post everyone's experience in a collective wank. 2) If your post contains any non-worksafe pictures, please say so outside of the lj-cut. Some of us browse Phanwank at work, school, or where others can see it. 3) All entries are moderated. I hate to do this, but it shouldn't be so bad - I'm online all the time, and your entries will be approved very quickly. If I delete your post, please don't take it personally. It doesn't mean I hate you! :) If you're really not sure if something belongs here or not, just go ahead and post it anyway, and I'll save it for the collective wank I mentioned in #1. 4) If you're wanking a fic, please give the title and a link to the story. This goes for all chapters posted, not just the first one. 5) Before you post, please click the Preview button to make sure your coding is correct. I know that sometimes the coding can be tiresome and you forget to make sure it's all there, but it's simple enough just to preview it before hand and check. It gets tiring having to tell people that they've accidentally bolded their entire post! 6) Please tag all your posts. FANFICTION: Required: tag with the words "fan fiction" and the title and author of the fic. Tag also with the words "Mary-Sue", "slash", "time travel", etc. or whatever word applies. If there are any funny bits in the story (i.e. Roule's Ingenious Plane, duggins, etc.) put that in the tags as well. E-BAY: Required: tag with the words "E-bay". Tag also with whatever item your e-bay wank is. ANYTHING ELSE: Just use your brain and tag it with what makes sense!
