"New research reveals there is hope for Mars yet. The first definitive detection of methane in the atmosphere of Mars indicates the planet is still alive, in either a biologic or geologic sense, according to a team of NASA and university scientists."

Hi there,
The Canton of Abertridwr, a branch of the local medieval "Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)" is looking to move onto Murdoch campus to do its weekly Sunday fighter training. There's also some thought of setting up a combat school there on Tuesday evenings if interest is strong enough.
Do you think that MARS would sponsor our use of various locales (hopefully Bush Court), since we don't currently have a branch on campus?
FYI, there's already a branch of the SCA at UWA called the "College of St. Basil" - which is sponsored by a different branch of the SCA.

The Second of our Gaming events has arrived. The Galactic Saloon is now hosting a Poker Tournament and Boardgaming Evening for those who want some gaming fun. Come along for a Social Night and try your hand at the Grand Prize for the GenghisCon Poker Champion.
POKER Tournament & BOARDGAMES
Saturday August 25th
4pm starting time. Finish ~10pm
76 Halvorson Rd, Morley.
$5 for Poker and $2 for Boardgames.

Numbers will be strictly limited to 25 Poker players. First in, Best dressed, so get back to me as soon as possible if you are keen.

Our largest event for the year is upon us. The annual GenghisCon Quiz night is once again being held at our sponsors venue the Hyde Park Hotel. We are also compiling several hundreds of dollars in prizes from our various other sponsors for you all to win. Should be an awesome afternoon of fun, socialising, games, competitions and trivia. Come and join some people or form a table and bring them along.
