The massage was nice.
It took her about 10 minutes of putting pressure against the muscles for them to loosen up for her to be able to do real work on them. I think I fell asleep; or at least started to toward the end. They had a heated massage table. That was cheating. :P
Anyway, it was good. There was a lot of tension removed from my back. Didn't help with the dreams though, at least not yet. I can still feel a whole lot of muscle tension. I think I may need to go get another one next week. |

A clever deduction Well I finally figured out the reason I keep having chronic back pain is just the fact that I'm not sleeping on the right kind of pillow. I'm the type of person who needs to sleep on a super-firm pillow. I had been using a feather down pillow, but I just think it was causing more trouble than good. I bought an extra firm pillow at Target today so I'll see how that goes. I looked at the memory foam stuff, but I just didn't feel like blowing $40 for one. If the extra firm pillow doesn't work I'll look into it then. I also can't wait to get my hair cut this week. It's just gotten way too long and to the point where I want to just go and get the kitchen scissors and hack it off. Even though it's just a little ways past my shoulders I just hate it. (I don't know how you do it Brenna!) I'm also getting highlights put in to brighten it up. Plus I am going to get it cut so I have bangs again. I found the style by looking at some sites online. I'll be sure to take before and after shots. I started playing Phoenix Wright:Trials and Tribulations, since I forgot I had bought it around Christmas and hadn't gotten to it yet. It has actually turned out to be my favorite of the 3 so far. I kinda wish they had made a separate Mia-based game since she's become my favorite character of the series. So sore I am giving in. I'm going to Massage Envy tonight to get a deep tissue massage. My shoulders are full of knots. I think it might help relieve some stress too. Maybe I'll get a full night's rest without some weird fucked up dreams. I think there has only been 1 night in the past couple weeks where I haven't had a dream that is either creepy, violent, or just plain mean. I know where some of the "mean" things are coming from and that's from unresolved issues. The violent and creepy parts though... I dunno. Maybe if it helps get rid of some of this, it will help get rid of my depression. If nothing else I hope the knots in my shoulders go away. |

New /Old Community hero_stills is starting up again soon. I took over modship of it back in August, so it is time I got moving. There is a very nice new layout up as well, and a beautiful header, thanks to kf_creations This is nothing to do with the show Heroes, btw, lol. It is an icontest for all romantic heroes, both costume and contemporary. Would love to see you there. |

First off, I'm still on the fence regarding which of the 3 parties I will be pulling the lever in favor for. However, I am finding Tina Fey's parody and impressions of Palin amusing. I did listen & watch 98% of the VP debate from last week, though I will probably go listen/watch again. Like I said, Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin is uncanny and amusing. Enjoy! ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj0dqCB6pcI Current Mood: amused |

But ho- ... but wh- ... huh?! I was logging into MySpace this morning and I saw a title that really has me scratching my head. It read: "Jessica Simpson: Queen of Country". Now, if memory serves, she's only put out one (let me say this again, ONE) album under the country category and has only had one single that is being played on country stations and pop radio stations. She did a backwards crossover (from pop to country; kinda like Kid Rock), so I'm not even sure I would call her a country artist. So, after one crossover album, and one single being played on both sides of the line, she's considered a Queen of country? What about Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna, Faith Hill, Alison Krauss, and all the others who have been in the category a hell of a lot longer, produced a hell of a lot more (volume and quality) in both records and "hits"? Are they being shoved out the door for some whiny drama queen who swallows the microphone every time she talks/sings into it? In the words of Stewie: "What the hell man!" Current Mood: annoyed |

That special kind of campy. So I finally saw the 'Speed Racer' movie. While I really enjoyed the visuals and the cinematography, if there was one more scene with that kid and the monkey I was going to take a bat to the TV. I understand that those scenes were for the "younger" audience, but I have a feeling there were more people my age going to see this movie than 5 year olds. (I could be very wrong though, plz to be correcting.) I would have enjoyed more "Racer X-shirtless-battle-with-ninjas", but that's me. So overall: pretty visuals, but would of enjoyed more serious storyline and less small, annoying child. I picked up Anberlin's new album today as well. I must say I am pleased with it. They returned to their old-sound and its definitely not as dark as the 'Cities' album was. I was a little disappointed with the beginning of the album because of how epic the opener to 'Cities' was, but I still love it to death. I also bought a set of hand weights. I figured I would try and tone my arms up while I jogged. Hopefully this wont end up me dropping one on my foot in the process. I've been kinda bad and not eating 3-balanced meals a day, I've only been having some cereal in the morning and then vegetable soup (like last night) or a veggie burger. I'm going to try and go to the store tomorrow and buy a bunch of vegetables to make my new favorite dish: couscous salad. A friend loaned me season 1&2 of Stargate Atlantis. I'm not sure how much I'll like it, but I'm at least willing to give it a try. And for all my tea-drinking friends out there I must recommend Revolution Tea. Yummy stuff. I have 3-4 cups a day. Not very animal friendly. Sometimes when I'm flipping by the 'Animal Planet Network' on TV, it really kind of disturbs me when I see stuff like 'Animal Cops' or today's find: 'Freaks of Nature'. At first I was thinking,"Oh neat, perhaps it's an interesting scientific show on some animal deformities that can occur. Nothing that bad." Turns out I was completely wrong and I just kinda didn't expect it to totally yank at my heartstrings. I just couldn't take watching the poor animals struggle around, even with the announcer's "OMG Isn't this COOL!?"-voice. I guess I can understand why some people may find shows like that interesting or enjoy those animal cop shows where they bust bad people for animal abuse, but I just can't see the "enjoyment" of it myself. Hell, I can't even go to the cat or puppy adoption areas in Pet Smart or I'll seriously have some sort of crying fit. I know Animal Planet is only trying to promote awareness with some of their shows, but sometimes I really don't think we need to show stuff like that on TV. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
