9:02a Colposcopy and spotting? I'm scheduled for a colposcopy first thing tomorrow morning- which I'd really like to get over with, since they're about as fun as.... well, as having a colposcopy. However, today and tomorrow look to be being the tail end of my period, so I'm not sure if I should call and reschedule or not. Now, since I have a Mirena, 'periods' for me are.. barely spotting for a few days. Less actual bleeding, more that my ordinary everyday discharge turns a blood-ish colour. Should I call and cancel, or do you think it'll be alright? Also, I've heard/read a lot about cervical cell dysplasia since I went for my last colposcopy- they found mild dysplasia and told me to come back. However, nobody's told me if this means I have HPV or not? I know it means I possibly or probably do, but I'm curious as to what else it could be? Thanks!

12:27a Change in vaginal smell I pretty much know the answer to this already, but some comments would be nice. The last week and a half or so, I've noticed that I smell different. I can't really describe it, but almost musty, rather than sweet. I taste funny too. So, the questions. Is this because I started nuvaring a little over a week ago, or because I've been eating less fruit than I was, or because I'm sick? If it is nuvaring, has anyone had this go away after awhile?

9:19p update on vag issues (and crappy and great gyns!) So I wrote yesterday about my crappy gyn experience and how I now have stuff going on in my vag Well I have switched back to Kaiser insurance and went to their urgent care (which costs me the same copay as a Dr visit btw!) and saw a gyn there This guy was gentle and kind and we decided that I most likely just had a uti He said there was no sensitivity in my uterus or cervix so pid was ruled out He said my discharge looked normal and everthing looked good! He did another pap which at Kaiser includes a hpv DNA swab! He also swabbed for chlamydia That's what I call a proper gyn exam! And I definitely filed an official complaint with blue shield (my old insurance) about that clinic and wrote them a really bad review on yelp! Here's to happy vaginas!!!!

11:22p herpes + new guy update Hi all again, I wanted to thank everyone who responded to  community.livejournal.com/vaginapagina/14277806.html  and i wanted to write a short follow up. After the guy seeming really understanding and sensitive on friday night when we talked about things, even going so far as to say he hoped he didn't hurt my feelings when i told him because he just felt awkward about weird about it, he hasn't contacted me since friday night and has in fact avoided me by not responding to a voicemail or a couple of texts. and i know for sure that he's not hospitalized or incarcerated, because i saw him on campus. so i guess i'm posting just to say to anyone out there who might have to tell someone they have an STI, to take things slow with the person. it sucks, because i really thought he was different and turns out that he's not. :/  so yeah. now i know! :(

11:03p Chronic Yeast Infections I been having chronic yeast infections since last December.  I don't have any itching or burning.  It is just the smell & the discharge.  Well I went to the gyno in January & he said I had a yeast infection.  I treated it, I got it again in February and treated that.  I went on birth control in March (I haven't had sex until then, so no one would be giving it back to me.) I have been clear of it for a few months I believe.  Then it came back in about June.  I treated that. It didn't seem to work so I went to the gyno again in August.  I had BV.  I took the pills for it, I'm guessing it is gone.  Now I have a yeast infection again.  Does anyone else go through this.  I just feel nothing is right down there.  My partner may be passing it back to me, but we haven't had sex for most of the summer.  How would he treat it if he does have it? Could he just use the monistat cream?  Also I am on Ortho-tri cyclin lo.  Could it be the birth control?

11:03p I'm ok, right?  So I just switched from ortho micronor to cyclessa on sunday. I was planning on using a back up method for one week but got caught up in the heat of the moment and let my bf ejaculate inside me. I freaked out and ended up inserting a few drops of lemon juice inside me within 5 minutes in hopes that it kills some sperm. Other than that am I at high risk for becoming pregnant? I never missed a pill while I was on micronor and I went directly from micronor to cyclessa without skipping any pills.

10:12p Different Sex Positions Will you have some bleeding after trying out different sex positions, along with rough sex? Seems like when we do diff things or have rough sex, I will bleed for a little while, its over the next day tho for sure, And I don't bleed when we have slow sex, so is this a normal thing that is happening or should I worry? I went to the gyn last month, and everything was great, so I am sure I am fine, just worry. Thanks

6:21p So, my first post.. I feel a bit ridiculous.. I always read posts by others, and I usually get my questions answered. This one is similar to ( this one )  but I had a similar situation..  [[My computer does not accurately let me use cuts. sorry.]] I should be getting my period this week.. Thursday to be exact, but my boyfriend and I had a lot of unprotected sex the weekend [[thursday through monday]] before last. And a lot meaning about 7 times.. We are currently in a long distance relationship, which is why so much.. I am not THAT addicted to sex mind you. :] Anyway, I have been on the pill, Cyclessa, for over 3 months. I have been accurate in taking my pills every day at the same time. However, I did miss one before my last period. I also was on antibiotics which made my period early last month. No need for this info, I just wanted to state for further reference. My real issue is, I flip out that I might be pregnant about the week before I'm supposed to get my period, EVERY MONTH, even when I don't have sex within the duration between periods. I don't understand why. But it feels like I make up symptoms in my head to make myself believe I am pregnant.. Is that normal? By normal, I mean, has it happened to anyone else? There are no symptoms from what I can tell, although I seemed to have obtained a UTI [[from my knowledge, fine now]]  from said encounters. If anyone has any input, I am all ears.. Fyi, the 'I feel ridiculous' part is only because I have never depended on anyone else to give me answers, or to relate to me in any way.. so it's a big step.. =/ current mood: curious

6:09p Cloth pads Here's some pictures of my latest batch of cloth pads, they are pretty much all spoken for in some manner or another, same with the next batch waiting to sewed, but i wanted to share the pretties. :D These latest pads are also a tincy bit slimmer then my other ones. 2 inches in the middle and still 9 inches long. 32 stack ( More pictures ) love love love
