А так... понравилось. Было ровно столько, сколько надо было. В целом - приятный город, не вызывающий бурных эмоций. Только воспоминания. Там спокойно, размеренно, разумно... Толпы разнообразного народа, кто из них француз сказать сложно, так как помоему там коренного населения уже нет впринципе.
Архитектурой очень напомнил Питер. Впрочем Петр помоему содрал многое как раз с Парижа, а Перергоф - с Версаля, так что неудивительно.
Что особенно понравилось - Диснейленд. Впервые попал туда вот только сейчас, почти в 22, и остался просто в диком восторге. Это сказка, настоящая сказка, о которой мечтают дети. Так что этот парк просто восхищает тем, что он сказочный. Антураж там просто прелесть. Горки и атракционы - они везде одинаковые, но сама атмосфера, эти чудные домики в диснеевском стиле, замок спящей красавицы и тд - блеск! Мечта:)
Провели там весь день и было чудесно.
На горках я покатался и понял, что то не вставляет. Раньше было как-то...страшно и прикольно одновременно. Щас... недоуменно и номарльно.Ну, прикольно, ну едем и народ вижжит как резанный. И что? Может надо не 2 минуты а 10 так кататься, тогда вштырит, но за 2 не вштыривает:) А еще раньше как-то был страх, что а вдруг сломается? а вдруг упадем. Щас его нет. Посему некруто.
Лувр. Как внутри так и снаружи.
Внутри - я насладился скульптурами, коих там было много и разных. В полном восторге.
Снаружи - мы пришли туда вечером, когда была темно и горели одни. Вечерний лувр, полупустая площадь, с редкими туристами и роллерами... и атмосфера, ощущение чего-то забытого, но прекрасного. Сидели там наверное с час, просто наслаждаясь состоянием... Здорово.
Вандомская площадь. Меня туда тянуло как магнитом, хотя делать там нечего.
Версаль. Скульптуры! И да, королевский дворец. И вообще там красиво и приятно.
Fromage blanc et miel (что-то вроде мягкого творога с медом) - вкуснотища. Я там это незамысловатое нечто поглощал в огромных количествам и мне жутко нравилось:) При всей моей неособенной любви к молочным продуктам.
Конечно же, Доночка не обошел вниманием еду.
А еще я начал вспоминать французский, который когда-то учил 3 года. На самом деле живя в стране вполне можно выучить язык достатончо быстро, когда ты постоянно сылшишь эту речь то начинаешь ее как-то интуитивно понимать уже. Но тут конечно и в памяти всплывало всякое разное, когда-то ученное...
Вобщем, еще бы я туда съездил, просто погулять по их великолепным паркам, лувру и попить кофе с белым сыром:)

Even though I know what I'm doing, the whole checking out process makes me a bit nervous.
Anywhere..
In stores, I feel so nervous, what if I forget my pin number. (I almost always use my debit card, I rarely have cash on me.)
Online, what if i mess up on one of the 20 numbers I have to get right...
And most of all, when I'm shopping in a new place. ; ;
I just ordered something online. I almost always only buy from one place.
I know their process, I'm comfortable with it.
But I just bought something off a new site, and the process of course took two or three times as long, because I want to make sure I did it right.
E-v-e-r-y-thing, right.
I looked at everything, checked it all, read it all, etc.
But, then it needed and did a couple of things I'm not used to..
Though, because of that, I also learned something new from it. :]
What did I learn?
What a CVC is. "Card Verification Code." (Sometimes known as a CSC, Card Security Code.)
Mainly, how to find mine. (Not like it was hard..) But I had two things that looked like it, and wasn't sure which one is was.
They had pictures of examples, but those really didn't help..
So I called my dad up, and had him explain, and where to find it. (In explaining, I figured it out. xD)
Interesting..
It's mainly used online to make sure the person has the card 'in-hand'. Instead of just knowing the numbers.
Because some people sell and 'buy' credit cards online, and they only get the basic numbers on the front.
So I entered it.
Then "WOW!" Then it verified my card right then! :O
It completely processed it and made sure it was real.
It actually made me kind of nervous.. "Crap, what if that wasn't right.. but it's only three numbers.. how horrible could I screw that up.."
It was correct, and it accepted my order (to put an order in).
I feel so... adult. .__.
And yes I bought it myself.

I just found out today that a well liked student passed away.
I remember helping him with a couple of things, and he was ahead of his class.....
and his future seemed bright..
I didn't think it was my place to ask "How" he died.
Anyway, they showed me the picture and I was like "Oh my god! I just remember talking to him over a week ago"
He passed away last Saturday.
He was in the computer lab (where I work) a lot!
...................
goddmamn it.
It was hard seeing his mother here.......
My condolences to his family. He leaves behind a cute VERY young son. :(

So...work has been a major pain in the ass.
I've been busy....I'm behind on homework cuz I work a alot......andI like sleep.
I need to learn how to live with less sleep, because of FUCKING SCHOOL
So yeah...I have 9 hours OT = sweet
So that's gonna make my paycheck AFTER my vacation look nice. :D
I hope so anyway.
So on Thursday......I hung out with Thomas and Sofie it was good times. I met up with them at Boba Cafe. It was cool. Catching up with them. They really are a nice couple. :)
They are so cute together. :) And seem to be getting along nicely. :) WOO!!!
We had a good talk about all the crazy shit that's been happening in my life lately...
and the new happiness in their life, they've been traveling a lot, local stuff. I hope I can do that. :D
Friday had a meeting. Went to LA to see Chris, good times.
Today working.

I'm finally home you guys! *huggles EVERYTHING*
Yeah .. so basically I don't wanna get into frickin' detail, but I was hospitalized for the last two days, and I do believe the worst thing that happened to me was that I had to get poked with a butterfly needle ... twice because my veins are so fuckin' positional. (I swear ... nurses had this SAME exact problem when I was FOUR!)
Anywho .. the last time I got stuck with a needle that big or even bigger, I was four and needed an IV placed in my arm because of my Bronchitis, so when I saw the needle, I nearly jumped outta the bed. *giggles* But I'm okay .. took a little blood, a little tinkle, and monitored me for two days.
So .. I'm home .. and I'm happy!
Now! What should I change my layout to? Hmmm ...
OH! And I learned how to do a type of blend on my photo program!! *does boogie dance*
I think I want a Koda Kumi Kingdom layout. o.o |

I nearly loled so hard that I had to be careful not to spray green tea all over my keyboard. Usagi Kou commented on my recent Sailor Moon fan art! The comment itself wasn't lulzy but if you know who she is you'll know why it's funny I guess. *resists the urge not to report her new account for ban evasion*
So Wednesday night was Phil's party / Halo 3 thinger!
I got all my baking done in time and was so tired afterwards. My feet hurt like hell for standing in the kitchen all day, the only break I got was to take Rowan's lunch into him and meet him for a quick hot chocolate. It was all worth it though I think everyone had a fantastic evening. I gave Phil a box filled with snacks for his birthday because when I asked him awhile ago what he likes he just said, 'food!' The cake I made was pretty crazy, it had over 600 grams of eating chocolate in it and my god you could taste it! Luke took some home for Lisa and I gave Phil an extra piece to take home, Lisa has already emailed me for the recipe saying that it was the best cake she's ever tasted. There is now one piece of cake left and that's for Dave because he was sick and couldn't make it that night.
Yesterday I had a lazy day to recover from the two previous days of madness, Barb came over late in the morning and bought some biscuits to have with tea. It was really nice actually, it's not often that people call in for small casual visits.
Last night I had a dream I was out clubbing with Erika. I want to go out dancing so bad! Erika and I have missed the last two Covens so I haven't had a night out on the town in over 2 months. @_@; I wish that there were more decent places to go in Hobart that aren't trendy clubs or sleazy bars.
I'm trying to fill all my user pic slots. Having 130 icon slots is really a lot of damn icons. |
