NYARLATHOTEP...at MASQUERADE 10!
That's right, folks...this year, Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos--or, at least, an abbreviated version thereof--will be performing at this year's Masquerade 10 at Ceremony! As many of y'all know, the membership of the Crawling Chaos is constantly in flux, but primarily we're a four-to-ten-piece band. BUT! Nyarlathotep can be as small as just me, Derek C. F. Pegritz, kicking out the jams with my laptop and assorted wicked mortuary toys--so that's what you'll be getting at the Really Big Shew this Saturday! Expect a couple of jagged, mutated songs from our very first album, 1999's Iä! as well as some extremely new material from our forthcoming album, Strange Aeons. Some of the arrangements will be stripped down a bit to facilitate a one-man performance of the stuff, but hopefully this show will give all y'all a better idea of what we're all about!
But, please, don't forget--this show is not about Nyarlathotep only!
We've also got the inimitable Jordan Decay kickin' out the heavy, heavy drones and the classically-dramatic vocals.
AND Paralyzed Circuitry, the IDM/ambient/experimental project of the legendary aRvin Clay--a.k.a. DJ Circuitry.
AND we've even got Narse--pure, unadulterated synthpop a la Depeche Mode. Whereas Herr Decay, ParaCirc, and The Chaos will be leading you through the darkest thickets of sonic weirdness and the abandoned hospitals of the heart, Narse is just gonna devastate your booties.
So get your asses out to Masquerade 10! It may be your last chance ever...considering the fact that the acts this year will be summoning up such horrific sonic atmospheres they may very well tear holes in the spacetime continuum and cause the Upstage and all inside it to deliquesce into a bundle of random dark matter! DON'T LAUGH. It could happen. Azathoth, the blind daemon sultan who seethes and burbles mindlessly at the heart of all creation, may put in appearance...and do you really want to miss out on that?
