Moderated by dragonflymuseThese are pretty standard, based on the guidelines posted by other stillness communities, so if they look familiar, that's the reason. Submission Guidelines 1. All entries must be non-animated. Seems pretty obvious, but it bears stating. 2. All entries are required to remain anonymous for the duration of the voting period. That means you aren't to use your icon or post it for sharing until the voting has ended for a particular challenge. 3. Please don't recruit your friends to vote for you. It isn't cool. Neither is voting for yourself. 4. All entries must conform to LJ icon size standards. 5. Contest entries are not for sharing, until permission is given by the icon maker. If you see something you like, wait until the voting period is over, and then solicit the maker for permission to use the icon(s). 6. It is preferred that contest entrants be members of the community. It helps with moderating and making sure those pesky rules are followed :) Contest Entries 1. On the first Monday of the month, a post will be made containing the two screen caps for the challenge. A third challenge will be a quote - a line of dialog, poetry or other such quote. For the quote challenge, participants are free to choose an image of their liking for the icon. Please note that for the quote entry, you may use more than one image if you so desire. Meaning, you can use blends or overlays to create your final submission. Entrants will post their submissions as replies to that post. All posted replies will be screened, meaning that only the poster and the moderator ( dragonflymuse) will be able to view the entry/entries. Submissions will be accepted for two weeks. 2. A host that allows remote linking will be required. Sites like Geocities/angelfire/tripod do not allow remote linking. Photobucket is a free image host that allows remote linking. 3. When the submission period has ended, the moderator will make another screened-reply post for voting. 4. Post your icons by using the IMG-SRC TAG code generated by your image hosting site. URL codes are not required for submissions. Timeline 1. Deadline for submissions is the third Monday of the month at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. As soon as the moderator is able, icons will be posted for voting until the fourth Monday of the month 11:00 PM Eastern Time. 2. Winners will be announced the next day. Voting 1. You don't have to be a member of the community to vote. 2. Anonymous votes will not be counted. 3. Vote for your three favourite icons. 4.
