I just found out today that Sarah Palin is speaking in Pensacola at 2:30. I wish I had known about this earlier, so that I could have made arrangements to go. I just have a feeling it would be extremely entertaining to see her speak. It's become the "cool" thing among Honors Council kids to quote her. Ah, a new generation of Bushisms...

Speaking of which, Honors Council Retreat was freaking FABULOUS. Gah. I love Honors.

So, I've got some bad news... I really don't think I'm going to have time to check back on all the million LJ posts you guys have posted since I last went through and checked my flist... :/ I'm really sorry. I was able to keep up for like a month, but school and life have caught up with me and once again, I don't really have time to keep up with LJ. I've even got two letters (one from webmyrcury and one from delicatetruth) that I haven't even responded to yet! I'm sorry guys.

So, if you could reply to this post with a link to any important posts you've made recently (LIKE YOUR DATE, JANEL!) I will check those out. I promise. I just... gah. I have to study for this Psych of Learning test for the next several hours and then I've got so much else to do for Honors and my other classes... I'm swamped!

At this very moment I'm sitting in Clovis, at the computer in my brother's house. My grandmother has just told me, "FYI, don't throw up in that bathroom, they have bad plumbing."

I hate being treated like crap for this. I hate your stares, you look at me like I'm not or ever will be the same person. I feel like screaming "I'M STILL ZANE! DAMNIT!" Everyone has been giving me these looks when they find out or get hints. Ugh. I am so very tired of it. Just leave bulimia & I be. I'm finding no time to binge, much less even purge. I've been keeping EVERYTHING down. Therefor I am gassy, don't come near. Grandma's house is full of candy. Damnit. I'm already planning a fast for next week because I feel like such a pig.

I don't know if it's possible to have too many girly crushes? My current girl crush is Kat Dennings. STFU.

I'm going to the fair.

In contrast to my dreadful last year Eid, this year is actually pretty good. Different, but good. Last year's was spent alone, in the nightmare that was the looming thesis submission date. This year, even though I still have quite a lot of assignments due in a week or so, I managed to enjoy the day as well as I can. My brother didn't go home this year so we spent the day together just trying to recapture that Eid warmth and ended up enjoying each other's company. We went to my Uni to join the Eid prayer in the morning and then went to my place to pick up some stuff, and went to his place to cook Eid food. We cooked ketupat (rice packets), beef rendang and gulai kambing. The ketupat turned out OK, but the other two just barely made it. We didn't realise it would take so long to make the two dishes that we ended up grilling some lamb sashlicks while waiting because we were starved. It was pretty funny how clueless we both are in the kitchen, but in the end, the food still tastes good, albeit a little dry! I stayed the night at my brother's place and we cooked some more for dinner.

I went to work straight from my brother's place this morning and now I am smashed. I haven't been able to sleep well for the last week or so and it's starting to get on me. I keep waking up in my sleep every hour or so, and this causes me to feel exhausted during the day. I tried sleeping early, hoping that a long sleep would help me, but it just doesn't do anything. If it keeps happening then I am doomed cause I have exams coming up in November. Ugh, that dreadful dreadful time of the semester again. Meh. At least I'll get to go home after exams. I'm flying back to Jakarta for about a month and I seriously can't wait!

Oh, I watched Wicked last week and it was amazing! I've read the book a long while back and didn't really like it, but I thought I'd watch it because I like some of the songs and I wanted to see Millsy as Fiyero. The show I went to was the 100th show and as luck would have it, both Elphie and Fiyero was acted by the understudies. It was still great, but I would've loved to see Millsy :P Still, I had a wonderful time and had some lovely Ozmopolitan, and I'm thinking about going again cause they've just announced some new shows. On the other hand, I also want to watch Rocky Horror and Billy Elliot, and if I go to all it would kill my bank account, obviously. Oh decisions, decisions, decisions. It would be a little sad seeing it again, though, because the actor who played the Wizard had stroke yesterday and died this morning. It's very sudden and such a loss. He was brilliant on stage.

I realized about two hours ago that I have a Criminology test tomorrow at 10AM, so now I am franticly going over the study guide. I just ran across the terms malum in se and malum prohibitum, and now I keep hearing Reese Witherspoon in my head saying, "I'd rather have a client who's innocent!"

And now I'm staring at my notes thinking, "What, like it's hard?"

Aaaaand now I'm watching the movie. Crap.
