URGENT--2 show amstaffs missing in Florida!!!
Missing are:
Gekko's Here For the Party (Spree--yes, a Twinkie baby =( )
(picture at 8 months)
and
Aspenview Tribute Freedom Ring

They were both bought on co-own contracts by a woman named Marina (last name available upon request) of Tribute Kennel in Davies, Florida. She was making her first foray into AKC AmStaffs, after having competed in UKC for a number of years. My Spree and Summer's Freedom were her foundation.
I last heard from her about a month ago. She had broken up with her boyfriend (he was cheating on her) and moved with her dogs into a friend's house. All was well, dogs were great and spoiled as always, and she would be back in the ring soon. That friend contacted another mutual friend of ours today looking for Marina. Apparently, Marina moved out--no notice, no forwarding address, none of her phone numbers work, and she no longer works at the vet's office where she was employed for years. Pat (our mutual friend) immediately asked about Spree and Freedom--according to the friend, Marina had "returned them to their breeders". She has not! Neither Summer, not I have heard anything about this. A month ago, I had even offered to drive to FLA to pick up at least Spree, if not both dogs, if she needed the help. I was assured that everything was fine.
Both of these dogs were on co-own papers. We are assuming that she either sold them or dumped them on a rescue, but no one knows. She could not have sold them (with papers) without my or Summer's signatures respectively....unless she forged them. Either way, I am desperate to locate Spree, and Summer is equally desperate to locate Freedom. I will be looking up newspapers in FLA--maybe she placed an ad and sold them? I also will be monitoring the petfinder lists...maybe someone has seen them? Can anyone think of anything? If you see them (training classes, dog parks, walking down the street), please let me know.
Either way, if anyone knows anything, I will offer a reward and cover all expenses to Spree back. And any contact info on Marina, if anyone finds her, would also be appreciated. Suffice it to say, she is in direct and gross violation of her contract. I want Spree to come home, and I know that Summer feels the same way about Freedom.
This is my worst nightmare. I can't speak for Summer, but if, by happenstance, Spree is in a GOOD home, she may stay--provided that she is SPAYED AND THEY SIGN MY CONTRACT. Legally, she is still my dog per her papers.
edited to add a few more pictures of Spree and Marina

Sorry about the length of this post. So many people have linked to it, I just wanted to add a few more pictures here (now that I figured out that I CAN edit a post in a community!). And again, thank you so much to everyone who has helped and spread the word. This means a lot to me, and this community is simply amazing.
