Temp/part-time/work from home jobs?
I'm currently unable to walk without crutches due to a knee injury which is taking way longer than expected to heal (2 months so far).

Seeing as Centerlink is only paying me enough per fortnight to maybe pay for one physio appointment, I want a job so I can actually afford all my medical expenses.

A work from home/part time job would be ideal. And I'd probably only want it for a few months until I'm back on my feet.

I was thinking I'd probably be interested in proofreading/editing jobs - then I could pick over people's spelling and grammar and get paid for it.

Anyone know of any jobs like this? Or places where I could look for them?

Thanks. :)

You could probably advertise to students for proof-reading/editing work, uni semester 1 starts this week.

That sounds like a good idea!

Any idea how to go about that?

You could try social network (like LJ, Facebook), or there may be online forums for students/international students in Perth/Australia.

Or for more formal advertising, try the student Guilds at various uni's.

Eg. Curtin - http://guild.curtin.edu.au/go/contact-us

i remember seeing a 'proof reading' editorial flyer come round in the spam mail recently.
the 'no experience required' did have us worried though ...

Not sure where to find such things though. Temp agencies might be able to help.

You can try looking at FlexJobs... it's a new site, I think.
