Miscellany!

• If you're going to get any BPAL in your eye, don't go for Lovers With Rutting Cats. I'm blaming the ginger, but sweet jesus, it burns for a long time.
• If you're not listed on this or the other post, PLEASE let me know. It's late and I'm stupid.
• Dark Chocolate With Pepper-Smoked Caramel does the cocoa deposit thing. I rolled the bottle to mix and did my best to ensure each decant was proportionately sedimenty, but it was impossible to get it all out of the bottle without serious agitation (which I wasn't about to inflict on someone else's perfume).
• Running a decant circle isn't the best plan when you're feeling lukewarm on BPAL in general. If you are going to run it, though, at least think through all the elements before pricing it...
  
• I appreciate your patience with my stupid vial delay and hope you all get long enough to test these thoroughly before they come down.
• If you would please let me know when you receive them and that everything's ok, my anxiety levels and I would be very grateful indeed.
  
• The Shungas are golden and subtle and Box of Chocolates is all sickly, syrupy foodie, ensuring that there's order in the world. I can't wait to relax about these, test my own decants and check out the reviews, and I hope you enjoy yours too.

I've not heard back from the Lab, so now that I've received everybody's payment, I've sent the order to them.

As usual, the Paypal character limit was totally exceeded, so I've sent them the full order on an email. I've done this several times before, and the Lab are well aware of the Paypal problem!

Now all we have to do is wait!!

I've just had a quick look at the BPAL LE page again, and it states that 13 is only up for today. I've just emailed the Lab to ask if I can place the order tomorrow morning, and I've also double checked on the shipping.

Currently we are $100 off free shipping, so from previous shipping info, I think we will be charged $28. There are currently 12 people involved in the order, so that is $2.33 each for shipping.

If I don't hear back from the Lab by 23.00, then I will send the order over to the Lab. Sorry for closing the order early, but I really don't want anyone to miss out. I will be sending out totals to everyone taking part in the order in the next few minutes.

An update: I am still waiting for the extra vials, and am so sorry for the delay - I am really embarrassed and want more than anything for everyone to have their decants and be testing away.

In the interim, I used the vials I had to decant all six of Box of Chocolates, one bottle of Giant Vulva and half of Lovers with Rutting Cats, after aggregating the orders and determining that would let me get as many en route as possible.

OK, 13 Group order starts here! I’m opening it early, so that everyone gets a chance to get their orders in :-)

I am closing the order on the 14th so that I can get the Agape orders in, as it comes down on the 15th. If ordering Agape, please give me your forum name in your comment!

I am hoping that we hit free shipping, and this is a prime chance to order your Lunacies, and Shungas and still have a month to decide if you want back-ups! Oh and anything else that you have had your eyes on! Anything on the site is fair game!

Like la_colere, I will charge you for your items and any Lab postage now and then request UK postage payment when your item arrives. If we get hit with a customs fee, I'll have a wee sob and then I'll split the amount between everyone fairly.

If applicable, postage from The Lab to me will be split equally amongst the participants. This stops me crying tears of frustration trying to work out fractions!

I can take all sorts of Paypal, and have run several group Trading Post orders (including the Mega Inquisitions Order of last year). I’ll also be including the evil fees too! And because of Paypal’s fabulous 300 character rule, I will be emailing the Lab our order as well!

Hopefully that's all clear, if there are any problems, please tell me!

P.S I've estimated $17.50 for 13, but will adjust if it turns out to be a different price.

The gigantic box of Lupercalia/Novel Ideas II/Ode to Aphrodite bottles arrived - I haven't opened it yet because I'm at work and am afraid of something going astray if I unpack it in a hurry, but I'll do a check later to make sure everything's there.


1 - If you want to pick up any of the remaining decants, please do!

2 - This is going to take me a few days, and I have my mum visiting for the weekend, so please be patient while I figure the process out! Merci beaucoup.

3 - I had to get some more* glass vials as I realised that, yeah, I did have 60, and yeah, I had taken on a circle bigger than that. I ordered about a week and a half ago and they haven't landed yet, although I'm crossing my fingers that I'll have a pick-up-your-parcel note waiting at home for me this evening. Sorry for the logistical oversight, but I have enough to get started, and have the labels ready to go.

My swap package arrived today, yay! :D

It had been greatly delayed by the incompetence of the Royal Fail. My awesome swap partner sent it off over a month ago, but someone in our beloved postal service decided that my house didn't exist (she had the right address, no typos, we checked), and so they sent it back to her with a 'no such address' label. In short, duranorak is awesome, and our postal service sucks.

I adore candles! Scented candles especially. I like to have them lit a lot of the time during winter. A lot of scented candles are fairly wussy in the scent stakes, however, and it seems difficult to find good scented candles in the UK. Normally I seem to fall back on Yankee Candles. And I am made sad by seeing gorgeous candles from the US which sound AWESOME but that cost 3 times to ship what the original price of the candle is! Grr. So, my question, after all this longwinded stuff, is: where do you get your nommy candles that don't cost the earth?

ETA: just FYI, this has turned into a bit of an, ah, discussion of a particular retailer... So avoid if you're not in the mood for tasty secondhand drama! :)

As you probably know, there are 3 Friday 13ths this year, which means 3 BPAL 13s. The first one is next month, then March and then November.

I was wondering whether anyone would mind if I did a group order on Feb 13th and March 13th?

I've done group orders for BPTP, so I'm well aware of what they entail. If anyone else had a burning desire to run a group order for the 13th, then I'll gladly take part! Otherwise I'll be popping a post up here on the 13th!

Final call for the Lupercalia Decant Circle - sorry for spamming you all, but in case anyone hasn't seen it, please feel free to jump in and save some bottles from elimination!

The circle closes at 8pm GMT today and I intend to place the order and issue the necessary refunds tonight.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen it, the Lupercalia Decant Circle is open (until 8pm GMT tomorrow).

If you fancy some decants, all but one bottle still has spaces. Anything with less than 4 sign-ups won't go ahead, so the more, the merrier!
