The Knife, Pure Reason Revolution, Tool, Fields Of The Nephilim, This Morn' Omina, Tenhi, IAMX, Sneaker Pimps, PJ Harvey, Madrugada, Velvet Acid Christ, Mew, Tori Amos, Patrick Watson, Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Anathema, VNV Nation... Too many to list here.

movies? 99 Francs, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Tideland, The Fountain, Generally all studio Ghibli's animations, especially Totoro & Princess Mononoke... The Crow, I'm a Cyborg But That's Ok, Into the Wild, 2046, Tim Burton movies... Zeitgeist.

books? The books by Marion Zimmer Bradley, Neil Gaiman, Joanne Harris, Linda Lay Shuler... The vampire books of Anne Rice... Henry Miller, Aldous Huxley, Terence McKenna... Comics, especially Sandman, Squee, Bear, Books of Magic, Wormwood.

sport? Well, ashtanga yoga. I'm not too sporty otherwise. Though I have bicycle and two healthy legs and use them too.

animal? Cats! I have one.

candy? Salmiakki, licorice. Some chocolate, white is my favorite.

anything else you would like to share?

I'm looking for people with an open mind, people who have their own thoughts & views, people who tend to be green and think outside the box. Do not believe everything they're told by the media or government...

I try to be ecological, as much as it's possible in this society, think and eat green. I still eat fish occasionally but left other meat products about 5 years ago. I eat dairy products too, mostly cheese, but try to use more and more soy products.

Sometimes I really wonder about the way of the world and am quite easily appalled by it. How people treat other people, animals, nature... But still I'm positive, manage to find joy in the little things, the beauty of it all. I am a nature person. Pagan-ish. Pantheistic sort... Nature inspires me.

I am endlessly interested in other people's world views, spirituality, thoughts. Musical tastes :) I hope you are, as I said, open and non-judgemental. I can tell you what I enjoy, what I think, and you don't condemn me. I wish for exchange, conversation. You don't need to agree on some things but are still willing to listen to the other view. You can write deep & thoughtful letters, share. I do not expect you to write back immediately, cause I know I can't always do that either.

Would be nice if you shared some of my interests too. Ok, now I'm asking too much already :) Be yourself and most likely it'll work out!

Juups, lisäilen sinut kaverilistalle. En itsekään kovin tiheään ole blogiani päivitellyt, nyt yritän vähän skarpata.

Itsekään en ole aikoihin suomeksi kirjoittanut, joten yhtä oudolta se minustakin tuntuu. Mutta kokeillaan miten se lähtee sujumaan. Minä kirjoitan ensin, kun tässä kerta tyrkyllä olen, mun mielestä se on reilumpaa niin. Voit sitten kirjeen saatuasi vielä miettiä haluatko kirjoitella takaisin. You have some good bands listed there. I'm Sarah, 28 years old and from the U.S, particularly from New Hampshire. I think we hold a lot of the same interests.

I'm kind of a "neohippy", which means I do as much as I can to help the environment. I'm a vegetarian and have a ton of pets living in my apartment with me. I could be considered Pagan in religion sense, and I'm very interested in Taoism lately.

Hey! I checked out your profile, which was interesting, as well as some of your entries, I mean, Sisters of Mercy!, I saw them live once a couple of years ago, which wasn't quite the same I imagine than seeing them in the 80's, and if the fact that you say you're a kind of "neohippy" wasn't enough, which it was, ...and then I insert too many commas and subordinate clauses, how do I even know that word? And then totally forget what I was saying. So... yes. I would, you seem interesting :) Also took a look at your "Ethically Sexy" -bog, and liked it!

Do you mind writing first?

Also, I'll add you, ok? I'm a lazy updater sometimes, but I have my moments.

	I think I was born in mid afternoon. By cesarean. That's nifty. I like Neil Gaiman, Sandman, and Studio Ghibli. We have a decent amount in common, though I like meat. But, I have a lot of friends with lifestyles that I don't agree with but we talk and listen quite well. Though I am a bit slow answering letters lately because of school. Hello there, *insert some witty Finnish phrase here*. Finnish would be such a great language to learn because it is rather beautiful, but, alas, I have not yet picke up upon the Finnish language.

Anyways, I am Stephanie and I am a 23 year old recent anthropology graduate student at the University of Kentucky in the US (I am from Kentucky...in the US...so YAY). I am a Buddhist and the combination of me way of life and my major, I am probably the biggest environment/human/animal activist person around (though I am not one of those crazy extremist types, so I guess that I am not really the biggest activist around but oh well.)

I still eat fish occasionally too and well, I have not quite yet kicked the dairy products but my metabolism is high, so I have to eat something or else a hospital visit would be due.
