About Me/Interests:
I'm a fairly sarcastic person with a wry sense of humor, something which I've learned is best to explain at first hello. I'm a history geek with a passion for art (I'm planning on pursuing an art history major), although I do occasionally doodle and am one of the "resident artists" within my stagecraft clan (see: the person who is relied upon to sketch and paint backdrops, scenery, the list goes on). I spend the majority of my freetime on the internet, talking about anime (usually Hetalia), skype-ing, generally avoiding updating my own fictions.

Music:
Although I generally stay away from this term, I would describe my musical interests as "indie". I also dabble in "pop".
My current muses include Bowerbirds, Volcano Choir, Laura Marling, Patrick Wolf, La Roux, White Flight, Bat For Lashes, Land of Talk, Mew, etc etc.

Books:
I used to read a lot more when I was younger (WEREN'T THOSE THE DAYS), but I still try and find the time to pick up the occasional classic piece of literature...my most recent read was The Red and The Black by Stendal. I'm addicted to books about both World Wars, and I've secretly followed Dan Brown's work since Digital Fortress. I've also been a life-long comic book addict, both American and foreign (including manga).

Movies and TV:
I have always (and will always) loved Pirates of the Caribbean; the lengths of my obsession are quite embarrassing, including but not limited to, waiting for hours in line at Disneyland to sneak a peak at Johnny Depp in full pirate regalia. I'm also quite fond of any and all horror films (Shaun of the Dead is a given).

How many pen pals do you have?  
At the moment, none. Though I do write occasional letters to my friends for fun.

How many do you want? 
One to two? I'd like to keep things personal. : )

Do you want email pals? 
If snail-mail absolutely isn't an option.

Do you want snail-mail pen pals? 
I would prefer them, actually.
Something about a handwritten letter is so much more personal. And getting post is exciting.

How long are your letters?
It depends on who I'm writing the letter to; I have some friends who don't mind pages of my scrawl, while others find it annoying.

How long does it take you to reply to a letter?  
I usually write a reply immediately after reading a letter.
Getting in into the mailbox is another story. Overall, though, I would estimate one to two days.

Would you like your pen pal to be male or female?
It doesn't matter to me, although I can't say I've ever written a letter to a male outside of my family.

Age? 
Between sixteen and thirty...? It doesn't really matter to me, but a connection may be difficult to establish under/over that.
Or at least I would imagine.

What are you looking for in a pen pal? 
I'm generally an open person, and I never tire of talking (or in this case, writing).
It would be fun to find someone just to talk with who is as long-winded as I am. : ) 

Where would you like them to be from?
Anywhere! I do like talking about culture, however, so a person with interest/experience in "foreign" cultures would be awesome.
(I was raised by Germans pretending to be Americans. xD)
