and it's gonna be totally awesome .
Name: Adrienne, but I mostly go by A
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Status: Single
Orientation: Straight
Location: I'm from Indiana, USA, but I'm living in Connecticut right now for school.
Occupation: Full time college student. It's rather time consuming. But, when I'm home, I'm a cashier at a crafts store. (Majoring in forensic science, by the way.)
Language: English. I know a teensy bit of French, but not enough to get by.
Interests: Writing, reading, singing, scrapbooking and watching tv. I'm a big fan of television and I'd love to work behind the scenes on a show someday.
A bit about me: Like I said, I'm born and raised in Indiana, where I live with my stepdad, mom, and our Australian Cattle dog puppy, Lola. I have three older sisters and two young nieces, and they're all very important to me. I'm very family-oriented, and spend most of my at home time with them, playing board games and talking. Like I said, I'm a writer. I started writing fan-fiction (Harry Potter, just so you know) about... seven or eight years ago, and then branched out into short stories and novels. I do a few personal narratives every now and then, and essays are always fun, if I'm in the mood. I'm an avid singer and have been since I was a wee little thing. In high school, I was in show choir, and even though I've graduated, it still holds a very high place in my heart. I'm a super big geekface, and am hopelessly addicted to Harry Potter, A Very Potter Musical, Buffy/Angel, Supernatural, and Veronica Mars. I tend to talk about those things quite a bit, hehe. I lovelovelove to travel, and I'm hoping to make it to all seven continents before I die. In addition to North America, I've gotten to Australia and Asia (Japan, specifically) and am hoping to get to Europe sometime in the next four years, with school. Um. Like I mentioned, I'm majoring in forensics right now, with the hopes of working at the city police department back home once I graduate. I'm generally a happy person and I'm very sarcastic and love making people laugh. I'm always interested in learning new things, so if you've got any kind of views different than mine (religious, sexual orientation-wise, etc.) don't be offended if I ask a lot of questions, because I'm very curious. Oh, it might be worth mentioning (although, I might have to dodge the spears being thrown at me) that I'm mostly a republican, although I've been leaning more towards being a libertarian as of late. Basically, pretty damn conservative. Sorry if that doesn't float your boat. :)
Music: I like a little bit of everything, so long as it's not rap/hip-hop, jazz, classical, or metal. Right now, my favorite artists include Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles, Mandy Moore, Missy Higgins, Adele, A Fine Frenzy, Marie Digby, Ingrid Michaelson, KT Tunstall, Matt Nathanson, Jon Mclaughlin, and Snow Patrol. I also enjoy Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen, Coldplay, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Muse, and Sara Evans, among others. I'm a big classic rock fan, especially Boston, Styx, and Kansas, although I sadly don't own many of their albums. :[
TV: Like I said, I lovelovelove tv. Buffy, Veronica Mars, Supernatural, Angel, and Castle are my top five, and Lost, Leverage, and Bones are honorable mentions. I also love Big Brother (US), The Amazing Race, American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Jon and Kate Plus 8, What Not to Wear, and The Mentalist, although I don't watch them as much.
Movies: I don't watch a lot of movies, but my two favorites are Practical Magic and Rent. I'm up for pretty much anything, as long as it's not irritatingly pointless comedy.
Books: I'm not a big adult novel reader, honestly. I'm a hugehuge Harry Potter geek, and I love Twilight, The Host, anything by Ellen Hopkins, and anything by Francesca Lia Block and Mitch Albom. Others include Sticky Fingers by Nikki Burnham, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. As always, I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot. :/
How many penpals do you have? Zero. I was supposed to have two when I went to Australia, but they never wrote me back.
How many do you want? As many as want to write to me!
Do you want email pals? Sure.
Do you want snail-mail penpals? Sure.
How long are your letters? Probably fairly long, as long as there's something to keep the conversation going!
Do you hand-write or type? A bit of both, probably. Snail mail will mostly be handwritten, I'd wager, unless I'm feeling particularly lazy.
How long does it take you to reply to a letter? A couple of days. It takes my mail a while to go out/come in, so don't be offended if it's a week before you get your reply.
Would you like your penpal to be male or female? Either. I don't have many male friends, so that would be fun. :]
Age: 16-25ish, but I'm not a big stickler on age.
What are you looking for in a pen pal? A friend. Plain and simple. Someone new to talk to.
Where would you like them to be from? Anywhere in the world is fine.
