Ribbons
Ribbon Orders for Penguicon are opening up! We’re ordering from the people at www.LarsensAwardRibbons.com as we have in the past. We’ll be getting, as usual, horizontal ribbons (which are F-116, though, if you really want another style, we can order those for you.) As you can see from the webpage, prices vary, so the more we get the cheaper they are per-ribbon. (In short, if you have a friend who wants to order them for another con after Penguicon, we can throw those in or if you have a friend who wants ribbons, but was planning on getting them somewhere else, they should order with us.)

In addition there will be some charges for shipping. I can get you exact prices after we have the total. (It’ll probably be about 6% for shipping and then a $2.00 charge for each order.)

Orders are going to be due by March 5th, 2008. March 7th the order will go out. Please only order them if you’re sure you’re going to be able to pay for them and pick them up. (What am I going to do with 300 ribbons that say “Slave Girl Leia”?) You can make an order and modify it or cancel it up till the date all orders are due (March 5, 2008.) They’ll be available for pick up at the con or, if you’re really nice to me and want to pay for shipping, I can send them to you after I get them (though you may only get them a few days before the con, in that case.)

They can print pictures as well, there is a charge to make the image. There are also some things about picking an image from their list of already existing ones at http://www.larsensawardribbons.com/LAR_2007_Website/Designs_in_Stock.html.

Okay, now the important part, orders.

I want the following from you:
Ribbon Style Number (if it is not F-116), the color of the ribbons, the stamping color, what you want on them, the amount, and, of course your name. Phone numbers would be nice so at the con I can contact people who haven’t picked their up yet by a certain time, but that’s not necessary at all. This year I’m going to be compiling a list of ribbons people will be giving out at the convention (a check list for the ribbon whores.) If you want your ribbons included, please make a note. If you don’t, I’ll assume you don’t want them on the mega-list which will be available for mass consumption on the internets or some sort of thing like that.

Extra note for the Ribbon Game: If you want your name on that list, so people know its you, and anything special people may have to do to get a ribbon from you, feel free to include that, but I’m not expecting that from anyone, really. I’m just expecting some people to say “You can add my ribbon to the list.” I don’t forsee Jer doing this though.

Finally, please e-mail me off list at ribbons at penguicon dot org, talent at penguicon dot org. That means I won’t respond to ribbon orders here because, while I love you, I need to at least pretend I’m organized in some way.
