ok. No Hotlinking just means that if youre going to use someones icons or graphics you upload them onto your own image host / own account. If you steal someones bandwith they normally get kinda cranky.

basically the done thing is you right click and "save as". If the icon maker hasnt included their name in the filename i normally just put that at the start. Then you upload to somewhere like photobucket and voila! or you could just upload the file from your computer.
