Hi Everyone,

I'm really happy to announce that the fifth release under my record label, Sonic Deadline, is finally available for order! This is a split 7" between Fuck the Facts, who have just recently signed to Relapse with their new full-length Stigmata High-Five, and Mesrine, serial killer obsessed old-school grind veterans from Quebec City! Fuck the Facts contribute one song called Taken From the Nest, a totally epic grind-metal masterpiece which is a different version of a song found on their Relapse debut, and Mesrine give us three more tracks of their total Dahmer worship that we've come to love and expect from these guys. To those who have pre-ordered, thanks so much for the patience, your copies are being shipped out this week and early next week. To everyone else, just under half of these babies are gone already, so I suggest you order soon while you still have the chance!

Anyway I couldn't be happier with how these turned out, check it out:

Hi everyone,

I'm really happy to announce that the fifth release under my label, Sonic Deadline, is now at the pressing plant and should be in my hands in just a few weeks! This latest release is a split 7" between two devestatingly brutal Canadian grind/metal bands, Fuck the Facts, who have just recently signed to Relapse, and Quebec's old-school grind veterans Mesrine.

Fuck the Facts contribute one track, "Taken from the Nest", a fucking epic bastardized grind-metal masterpiece taken from their upcoming Relapse full-length debut, and Mesrine give us three more tracks of dirty, serial-killer obsessed Dahmer worship! Since I'm doing the Weekend To End Breast Cancer, I figured, what could be a better way to run a fundraiser than combine my two favourite things (good causes and good music)?

Thus, come see rock alternative local mainstays Alverstone, and up-and-comers The Johnstuart Winchell Band, and help us wipe the earth of breast cancer.

Be there, or be the 78% of the Canadian population that doesn't donate to charity. Or that, you know, doesn't like amazing live bands.

I am holding a benefit concert for the Weekend To End Breast Cancer and CancerCare Manitoba, May 24th at the Park Theatre.

Tickets are $10 at the door, which opens at 7:30

However, although I have two bands lined up, the third backed out. Does anyone know/can put me in touch with a fairly well known local band (rock/indie music) interested in playing for charity?

Hi Everyone just to let you know, the fourth release under my record label Sonic Deadline Records, the Tower Of Rome/Gun Kata split CD, just arrived from the pressing plant. They look and sound really great and are ready to order now! Both bands play crazy blast as fuck grind, with Gun Kata featuring current and ex-members of such bands as Hewhocorrupts, 7000 Dying Rats and Kung-Fu Rick. Tower Of Rome will be extensively touring North America and Europe within the coming months in support of this and their upcoming EP on Hewhocorrupts Inc. so be on the lookout for them playing a show in your area!

Tower Of Rome/Gun Kata split CD

Hi everyone, the fourth release under my record label, Sonic Deadline Records, is at the pressing plant now and should be available within the next two weeks. This is a split CD between the bands Tower Of Rome and Gun Kata, both of which play very fast grindcore. Tower Of Rome has been compared to such bands as Ed Gein, Discordance Axis, and Pig Destroyer, and have recently come off a successful US tour just this past summer. Gun Kata features ex-members of the bands 7000 Dying Rats and Kung-Fu Rick, as well as current members of Hewhocorrupts, so that should give you a good idea of what they sound like. You can check out both bands and download some mp3s from this release at their respective Myspace pages, www.myspace.com/towerofrome and www.myspace.com/gunkata. Hi everyone, the third release under my record label, a four-song CDEP from The Grey is now ready to order. If you're not familiar with The Grey, they play melodic and hard-driving dynamic rock, featuring ex-members of the bands Shotmaker and Three Penny Opera. You can check out MP3's from their old CD "Open Credit" on SpectraSonicSound at their Myspace page, www.myspace.com/thegreymusic. The Grey are briefly touring eastern Canada for the rest of this year, and in early 2006 they are touring Europe and Japan in support of this and a full-length coming out on Lovitt records around the same time.

Hi everyone, my record label Sonic Deadline Records has just sent its third release to the pressing plant, a 4-song CDEP from The Grey, which features ex-members of the bands Shotmaker and Three Penny Opera. The Grey play a kind of melodic hard rock, and they plan on touring Europe early in 2006 in support of this as well as a full-length coming out on Lovitt Records around the same time. i could buy an upgrade for my car that would enable it to move.

okay, so up for grabs is a Godin SD-4,four string bass.
$350
selling it cause i dont NEED four basses, but i do need an amp.
its been played maybe 40 times in the 2-3 years ive owned it.
i was going to trade it in at second encore for the thunderbird
i wanted and now own.
but they said...
"its worth about $500, we would sell it for about $400, ill give you $175 trade in for it".
forget THAT, id rather sell it to someone myself, then ever give them
anything but contempt again.
anyways, the bass.
they stopped making them so i cant find any of the official specs online.
but it has active pickups, and everything is pretty much new.
the only thing wrong with it is the plastic flap for the battery compartment.
it has some nicks and scrapes.thats my fault, i could never figure out
how to open the damn thing, and there are a ton of light surface scratches that i never noticed until just now.i think theyre from a pick.
it comes with the hard shell case, which still smells like new.
its sort of shaped like a telecaster, but squished, sorta.
its black and has a sparkle to it.
im not sure what else to say.

So, Hi. Hopefully this community gets used often and such. I've been looking for a band to join/form for quite a while. Influences: Johnny Cash, Tomahawk, Nine Inch Nails, Gordon Downie, Metric, Broken Social Scene, Peter Gabriel, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead. . I'm looking to be a vocalist type thing, but don't have many well-recorded reference points because I haven't recorded anything new in ages. I do have basement space to practice in, and am looking for harder edged type things to do, but am into trying out any kind of musical venture.
