BP Global > Reports and publications > Statistical Review of World Energy 2008 > Review by energy type > Oil > Oil productionMeanwhile the same report has this:
Global oil production fell by 126 kb/d or 0.2% to 81.5 mb/d in 2007
The share of global supply from the Africa, Asia and the FSU grew in 2007, meanwhile, Middle East, North America, Latin America and Europe lost share. This is consistent with long term trends.
Global oil consumption grew by 1 mb/dWe all complain about China and India using more oil but does anyone notice who's #3?
2007 global oil consumption growth was stronger than the 0.9 mb/d (1.1%) growth in 2006. China and the Middle East oil exporters accounted for much of the net growth in global oil consumption.
