Silver Creek Falls

We loaded up the kids and went to Silver Creek Falls this afternoon.

We didn't do a whole lot of hiking, but it's gorgeous there.

One of the cool things about the trail is that it goes behind the South Falls, which are the biggest on the trail. There are 10 waterfalls altogether, but that's a 9-mile loop, so we'll do that someday without children. Or, you know, tired middle-aged men. LOL

The kids were more into the scenery than I thought they'd be.

Straight out of my back yard! They taste sooooo good, especially over vanilla ice cream with just a touch of cinnamon sprinkled on the top. I love Portland Summer!

We didn't have the right lens with us to shoot from such a distance, and there was noooo way we were going to get any closer, but so what? They're cute, baby skunks! Seen on Airport Road in Hillsboro, roadside next to the woodlands across from Tri-Quint. They've been out every night this week, usually between 5:00 and 8:00pm.
