Hi all! Well here we are at the very last challenge of this very long hiatus. We all made it! This time we've decided to make this a little drabble (100 words) challenge because I'm sure we're all just too excited to concentrate on a long fic right now (or as is the case with some of us, trying to finish WIP's!) 2008 Hiatus Challenge #7: Life in The Fast Lane

What do I have to do? This is a dialogue only challenge. We would love you to write dialogue between characters, set during a road trip/car journey. For those unsure, dialogue only means that what comes out of the characters mouths sets the scene, tone and actions to the reader, as well as the conversation. A bit of a tricky one but a challenge is good for such a loooong hiatus right? :)

RPF (real person fic) was so rare in this fandom when this comm was started, we didn't think to make a point of saying that all hiatus challenge submissions should be canon/character related, in other words, no RPF. Clichés, romantic or otherwise, make all of us cringe, but for this challenge, we want you to pick a cliché, any cliché, and make it work. Put a new spin on it, use it ironically, or just write it so well we're all too busy swooning to remember it was used in a dozen cheesy love ballads or on more than its share of Hallmark ads. As usual, we encourage any pairing, any genre. When you're ready to share your story, post it on your LJ (or wherever you post your work), then post a link back to it in this thread. Please include the original cliché you are using in your author's note as well.
