Hiatus Challenge #10 WRAP UP
The countdown to the start of Season Four has now dwindled down to a matter of hours, and thanks to some very busy people, the response to Challenge #10 means we're going out with a bang! Thanks to everyone who participated, and to anyone who'd still like to play, all the challenges remain open for your writing pleasure. *g*

So, there you have it. Another hiatus down, and a new season about to start. To everyone who's jumped in and picked up a challenge, thank you so much for playing. We'll be back after the mid-season hiatus, whenever that may be, so until then, ENJOY SEASON FOUR. *waves*

Hiatus Challenge #10
Hi all! Well here we are at the very last challenge of this very long hiatus. We all made it! This time we've decided to make this a little drabble (100 words) challenge because I'm sure we're all just too excited to concentrate on a long fic right now (or as is the case with some of us, trying to finish WIP's!) Anyway we'd love to have a bunch of drabbles to post in the wrap up for everyone's enjoyment and to get us in the mood even more, how about it? *makes Disney eyes*

2008 Hiatus Challenge #10: Snapshot Drabble
What do I have to do?: Write a drabble (a real drabble, exactly 100 words) set some time in 4:01. Speculate all you like or use the spoilers you know (but please warn us if they are very spoilerish). Dark, happy, angsty, fluffy, shippy, general. Whatever you want to write, we want to read it.

Once you’re ready to share your little drabble with the world, post it on your LJ (or wherever you normally post your fic), then post a link to it in this thread. You have until the season starts. Have fun!

Hiatus Challege #9 Wrap-Up, Summer Vacation
Only two so far...is it possible that life is imitating art and everyone is on summer vacation? *g* Remember, late submissions are a-ok! Now, onto the fics:

Hiatus Challenge #9 - Summer Vacation
ONLY TWENTY-NINE DAYS TO GO.

Three of the four mods of this comm are currently shivering their way through winter, so this challenge is designed to let people everywhere indulge in either wishful thinking or let themselves be inspired by their current surroundings.

2008 Hiatus Challenge #9: We're All Going on a Summer Holiday
What do I have to do?: Write a story using a summer vacation as the main theme. Dark, happy, angsty, fluffy, pre-series, post-series, canon or AU, het or slash or gen. Whatever you want to write, we want to read it.

Once you’re ready to share your story (short, long or in-between) with the world, post it on your LJ (or wherever you normally post your fic), then post a link there in this thread. You’ll have two weeks for each challenge response. If you can’t make the deadline, please don’t stress. Let’s face it, a late story is better than no story.

Have fun, and if you have any questions whatsoever, just post them here!

Hiatus Fic Challenge #8 - Clothes Make The Man (and Woman)
Only forty-three days left to go, and this particular challenge has been partly inspired by the new Season Four Promo Photograph, and the talk about the characters' shiny new (well, except Michael and his lovely brown jacket) clothes.

2008 Hiatus Challenge #8: Clothes Make The Man (and Woman)
What do I have to do?: Write a story using clothing as the main theme.

Hiatus Challenge #7
2008 Hiatus Challenge #7: Life in The Fast Lane

What do I have to do? This is a dialogue only challenge. We would love you to write dialogue between characters, set during a road trip/car journey. For those unsure, dialogue only means that what comes out of the characters mouths sets the scene, tone and actions to the reader, as well as the conversation. A bit of a tricky one but a challenge is good for such a loooong hiatus right? :)
As always, any characters, any length, any pairing.

Once you're ready to share your story with the world, post it on your LJ (or wherever you normally post your fic), then post a link to it in this thread. Each challenge is 2 weeks. If you can't make the deadline, please don't stress. Let's face it, a late story is better than no story!

Hiatus Challenge #6 - Remember When
*waves*

With seventy-two days (more or less) left to go until this wretched hiatus is over, we thought we'd take a look back into our characters' collective pasts and see what we can find. After all, it's the sum of their lives to date that have brought them together in the present time, right?

2008 Hiatus Challenge #6: Remember When
What do I have to do?: Write a story about a pivotal moment from a character/s childhood. Happy, sad, angry, whatever feels right, let's have it.

Oops.
Just a little Public Service Announcement.

RPF (real person fic) was so rare in this fandom when this comm was started, we didn't think to make a point of saying that all hiatus challenge submissions should be canon/character related, in other words, no RPF. We've update the community guidelines so they're now clear on that point, and sorry for any confusion our oversight may have caused!

2008 Hiatus Challenge #5: Fanfic Buffet

What do I have to do? We hope you brought your appetite, because we're serving up the next challenge buffet-style! Just like at your favorite fast food buffet, we want you to pick three items from the list below (any three), and incorporate all of them into a fic. As always, any characters, any length, any pairing. Now, eat up!

Once you're ready to share your story (short, long or in-between) with the world, post it on your LJ (or wherever you normally post your fic), then post a link there in this thread. In the Author's Note, specify which three items you chose. You'll have two weeks for each challenge response. If you can't make the deadline, please don't stress. Now, where did I put my pimp hat?
Alrighty then.

The latest challenge at [info]pbhiatus_fic, aka Let's Get It On, was greeted with much excitement when it was posted, but has been sadly neglected in the actual writing of stories. *pats poor little neglected challenge topic*

So, because we believe in being flexible (and we want more pron, darn it!), we've decided to extend the Let's Get It On challenge for another week.

Don't let saucy challenge topics go unloved. Write some pron today. Your fandom will thank you for it.

2008 Hiatus Challenge #4 - Let's get it on!
We here at [info]pbhiatus_fic are in the mood... in the mood for your NC-17 offerings, that is! What better way to channel the excitement over those newly released cast photos than to indulge in a shameless display of getting up-close and personal - otherwise known as good, old-fashioned S.E.X.

2008 Hiatus Challenge #4: Let's get it on!

What do I have to do?: We want to get laid! Fic-tually speaking that is. Either hot, raunchy, 'wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am' mind-blowing sex, or the sweet and tender moments shared within a lover's embrace. Whatever turns you on, gets you going or floats your boat - we want it!

Write us an NC-17 story featuring any character/s and/or pairings. Once you're ready to share your story (short, long or in-between) with the world, post it on your LJ (or wherever you normally post your fic), then post a link there in this thread. You'll have two weeks for each challenge response. If you can't make the deadline, please don't stress. Let's face it, a late story is better than no story, and NC-17 is ALWAYS welcome. *cheeky grin*

So what are you waiting for? You KNOW you want to. *g*

Fic Hiatus Challenge #3...you know you want to do it!

It's onimously silent on the #3 challenge thread, so this is the part where I give you all a gentle proding. *pokes all of you* Of course, this is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black (*collective groans*) because I haven't written one yet either. In case anyone is at a loss for ideas would like a prompt, I've compiled a list of a few common cliches. Feel free to take one, or use your own. Romantic cliches, general cliches, writing cliches...they're all welcome. Now, c'mon...write something, then post them in your LJ and at the challenge thread! *runs off to get started*

2008 Hiatus Challenge #3:  Do You Like Pina Coladas? Getting Caught in the Rain?

What do I have to do?

Clichés, romantic or otherwise, make all of us cringe, but for this challenge, we want you to pick a cliché, any cliché, and make it work. Put a new spin on it, use it ironically, or just write it so well we're all too busy swooning to remember it was used in a dozen cheesy love ballads or on more than its share of Hallmark ads. As usual, we encourage any pairing, any genre. When you're ready to share your story, post it on your LJ (or wherever you post your work), then post a link back to it in this thread. Please include the original cliché you are using in your author's note as well.

Have fun, and as always, post any questions here in this thread!
