Anicon was stuffy, suffocating, and crowded. But despite that it was pretty okay. Not totally awesome, not totally sucky. The venue could have been bigger though, or at the very least could've had a better set up. I mean, who the hell made it so all the games were in a cramped tight space in the center of the venue? I think it'd make more sense to put it against the wall so the crowds could stay there.

The maid cafe was pretty small as well and the food was pricey. I'm so glad Robert decided to get water before we went into the cafe. The maids were pretty cool though. Apparently, you could order them for a small fee (as bad as that sounds... Maybe I could've phrased that a little better.) to dance or sing Motteke Sailor Fuku and Hare Hare Yukai. They got the song and dance down to pat, I'll give them that. Oh shite, there was someone in the maid cafe though dressed as the dude in Kamen no Maid Guy. In case you guys aren't familiar with it think buff, muscular man in a sleeveless maid outfit plus a mask. It's frightening. I kinda feel sorry for those who was served by him. Was kidding that we should make him dance for us though. That would've been awesome on so many levels. xD

I decided to costrip today actually. You know, cosplaying but not seriously. Like, totally didn't work for the clothes I wore. So I donned a black shirt, denim jeans, a huuuge red jacket, and a gray cap and went off to costrip~ Oh I even made a "Want past this wall?" sign and carried it around as well.

I ran into keele_san as Rhyme and her TWEWY cosplay friends (Neku and Shiki) when one of them said "Oh, look a Reaper" or something to that effect. xD There was a Sho, Hanekoma, Uzuki and Konishi as well. KONISHI WAS THE RF GIRL IN TOYCON TWO YEARS AGO! /random

The rest of the cosplayers were sub-par and I still have no clue if the Yoko there was male or female. orz Ugh, cosplay nowadays scare me to kingdom come.

Speaking of cosplayers, I ran away from one of them today. xD Why? I was amused by the thought of the character singing in a band (which happened in the con) and orochi_raziel told me to get a pic with the cosplayer. I told him I didn't want one but still he pushed me then asked the cosplayer probably making it sound really off (knowing Raziel), so when the cosplayer turned to look at me, I turned tail and ran... tripped over two people... and out of the convention hall. Run, Mart, run! What an adventure. xD

So yeah pretty decent con. Can't wait for one of the bigger one's though.

I have enough happy in me to make two posts! The other one will be heavily filtered to the locals, related to work as it is. But the main thing about that post that you should know is this: I no longer have Internet at work, so unless I sneak out several times a day to use the library computers for email, I am stuck contacting people through office email and cellphone. Usually home by 7:30pm, so there we go. :|

Thursday evening, I went out with James to watch Mutant Chronicles. The movie is so bad I don't know how bad it is, but I did enjoy commenting on it with James while the film was going, so there is that! I wish there was more hot and less copy-pasta CG mutants, but I'll take what I can get!

Today--- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, O(c)T3 people! \o/

Today, I went off to Amici for dinner with khursten, ficcentricity, Kapitan, yue_dermond, and psychoshoujo. ♥ Mmm, delishus lasagna! And then we went off to sing at the local Japanese karaoke. Like the ones we see on Japanese doramas! I will post a video and pictures of the place some time to make you jelus to encourage people to come visit us? 8DDD I need to start learning how to read at least hiragana, though! So I can at least sing half the time along with everyone!

For most of today, I have been working on restoring my desktop computer. Apparently there was a system file that's been deleted or corrupted and it's a vital part of the Windows start-up. Without it, the operating system won't boot. To think I had a list of things to finish on that computer today. Some really, really important things. I have such awesome luck. ಠ__ಠ

I'm just glad that my friend mentioned that he has come across this problem in the past, and it's reversible without having to reformat the whole hard drive. I'd be hella pissed if I had to format the thing. I just got a whole dumpload of high-resolution (and absurd resolution) images for future iconing endeavors. I don't really want to go looking for them again for a while other day.

If worse comes to worse I suppose I'll have to beg my dad to allow me install a few programs in his pc so I could get my work done before the convention on Sunday.

I think the repair is currently around 70%. I'm kinda wishing it would hurry up.

Hah, sorry for the drama post last night. Some stuff happened, don't really want to talk about it. What's passed is past and all that.

Now that's out of the way, I just realized a while ago how it's finally October in a couple of minutes. I've been waiting for October for so long, fandom-wise! XD ToraDora starts off the month on October 1, next is CLANNAD ~After Story~ on October 2, Tales of the Abyss on October 3. And what do you know, the three best ones are coming out one after the other. Talk about awesome. 8D There's also Vampire Knight on October 7 and CHAOS;Head on October 9 but I'm looking forward to the first three more than anything.

I only decided to pick up CHAOS;Head when a friend of mine said that there was going to be a visual novel release of it before the anime airs. I asked him what it was about and he said it's premises are around gore, the supernatural and sci-fi. I was totally on this ship at the mention of gore. It's been a while since I played a visual novel. Can't wait.

Anicon on the 5th! Any pinoys going to that one? I might go as a Wall!Reaper from The World Ends With You, which was originally my plan for Otakon so if you see a huge red jacket with a thought bubble sign walking around the convention center, that's probably me. xD Or the same red jacket whopping people's asses on Soul Calibur. xD

On a completely unrelated note, I really have the urge to write some pairing fics. Kamina/Yoko and Tomoya/Tomoyo actually. Not sure why exactly. I haven't written fluff in a while as well. Geez, I hope I can still pull it off.

I got Writer's Choice on twewy_ldws for this week. It was am expected surprise and it seriously brightened up my day. :D

\o\ I had a good weekend~~~ Saturday was v. busy. It must be a sin to wake up before one needs to wake up. D: Six in the morning for no reason is just what. Although this did mean that I got to meet Lynffles on time for once. Why is it that when I'm meeting her, I'm always so late? T^T But the rest of our busy day can be found here. CHEATING MUCH? But you have to at least take a look, because it involves BUNNIES. The cutest bunnies ever! SOOO CUTE! ♥ My godchildren~~~ ♥ ♥ ♥ I am very pleased with the results of Saturday~

In the evening, I did get to Trinoma to meet Pammeth and the rest on time. And after a bit, Supi and magnetic_rose and company brought me all the way back to Makati, where it was way easier to get home. o/ A very productive day!

When I got home, I had a new cellphone waiting for me on the bed. It was for free, mind, because I renewed my cellphone plan. Going back to naming it Shimeya, because it is white and pretty and I can't figure it out. 8D IN DUE TIME. For the rest of Sunday, I typesetted doujin for new_treasures, watched an episode of House and an episode of Soul Eater, and pretty much just did chores and lazed around and did my RP account for reborn_biz. \o/

Also, on Soma Bringer: Am pleased at my progress, mostly. My brothers made their own save files, and are a little obsessed with the game. They bug me to use the DS when I'm at home, which I supposed is fine; the youngest brother is a full act ahead of me now, and he's played it less than I have. Clearly, I need to stop leveling up, or maybe he's just really fast.

Ended up not going to Otakon EK today because I'm majorly broke. I even borrowed my friend's red jacket so I could get in without paying for a ticket and have free rides throughout the day! The convention was held in a theme park here and it said that as long as you were in cosplay, the entrance and rides are free so who cares if I was planning to go as a Wall Reaper (from The World Ends With You)? It's still cosplay. xD

I AM planning to go to Anicon however and that's next week. My friend's are planning on celebrating their birthdays then so it should be awesome. I did some research on what is taking place there and found out that there'll be a maid cafe. Cosplay's a a given so...

But I seriously went omgwtfbbq when I read that there's going to be a SOUL CALIBUR IV TOURNAMENT! I do not mean to sound conceited or anything but I OWN at Soul Calibur! It's MY Tekken!

Then I saw it was for XBox. :| Shite! I've never played with an XBox before! I totally need hands-on practice if that's possible. I actually scared norika_hiwatari when I messaged her asking if I could go over to practice. I don't care if there's a prize (but it would be awesome if there were prize money or a figurine or something 8D), I'm planning to join to the experience! And I totally want to whoop some people's asses.

And that totally drained me afterwards. -____-

I went to my drums lesson yesterday. Met my new drum teacher because my former teacher has this habit of leaving on sudden trips to foreign lands so that he could earn more money there, leaving his students at the mercy of some stranger... But that's besides the point.

Anyway, new teacher. It was a pretty cool session but I feel that I will have to get used to his teaching style which is like the exact opposite of my original teacher. He's pretty resilient about the whole "you have to feel the music" thing as well as just hit whatever which is pretty cool, but it's something I'm totally not used to. I've become accustomed to reading the notes, practicing said notes, then playing together with the song. Now, I'll have to throw that out the window for the time being.

He also mentioned that I should choose three songs (two that I know how to play, one that I don't) and it'll be an exercise from me, jamming with a bassist (one of the other teachers) and a guitarist (to be announced) so that I get the feel of playing for real. It's been a while since I've jammed so to say having disbanded with my high school friends when college began, so I'm guessing it'll be pretty awesome. Even though my "yes" to that idea was a little above a whisper.

So on that topic, f-list, do you guys think you could recommend songs with a good drum beat? Something that isn't too easy or too hard either, preferably rock or alternative but anything's fine. Preferably English as well. xD It'll help loads. Thanks!

I was playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2 on my bed and decided to check something on my computer. I was typing something up and heard something weird coming from somewhere. I was pretty sure it wasn't the speakers because I had already closed my player. I even checked the speakers.

It started bugging me a bit more until it reached the point where I started thinking, "WTF IS THAT NOOOISE!"



Turns out it was the DS. I forgot to turn off the game and the battle music was still playing. .__.

Two of my friends frequent Wasabi Toys and in the middle of class yesterday, they called my attention and told me that there were CLANNAD figurines on sale there. They even mentioned that it was of Tomoyo and Kyou. It just so happens that Tomoyo is my favorite among the female cast, so on a whim, I decided to buy this yesterday:

I could afford it right now if it weren't for the cosplay tomokii, envytheirony a couple others and myself are planning for this year's Komikon, but luckily it still won't be available until January. I'll just need to make a down payment but I should have enough money for it by next year. Either way, it's going to cost me a pretty penny but that's life. Geez, why do I have to have such an expensive hobby?

I finally got around to watching Heroes and yeah, it was worth the wait!

I just realized how much I missed playing tactical RPGs. I decided to start playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2 on the DS a few days ago. Started last night and I'm already clocking in on 7 hours with 20 quests done. I really need to find more games like this again. xD
