it appears as though recently patrick has gone back to his old lycanthropy roots, and by roots i'm actually only talking about his hair. it's gone from dark to light.

for lack of any recent patrick wolf news (sadly), i thought i'd share this excruciatingly embarassing youtube video of myself "performing" wolf song. but i'm not too embarassed because i know we are all guilty of this even if we don't admit it. we all have sang or mouthed the lyrics to his songs whether we're alone or in the company of others at some point. although, this makes me laugh because i'm in a kitchen, and even though i may not have two dogs (i certainly wish), two cats certainly make a cameo. i'm trying to be "expressive" during this, i don't know if it came off too well.

i apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused if this ends up being the most awful thing you've ever seen.

here are some new-ish photos taken sometime in april of patrick leaving dolce nightclub courtesy of contactmusic.com. the rolled up pant leg gets me every time, haha. and that jacket, as usual, looks so fabulous on him.

edit: apparently he was attending the nightclub with lily allen.

hello my dears.

i've noticed this community has been somewhat defunct recently due to little news on patrick's current ventures. hopefully this entry will help keep things alive. i've got some interesting videos (and an mp3 of a strange toy patrick picked up at shepherds bush market) that feature patrick that i'm not sure have been posted.

this first one is of patrick during the lycanthropy phase. he is knitting a jumper while on the london tube with some of his friends. you can see him randomly throughout the clip. he's the one with the short blonde hair with a black layer of hair underneath. i'm sure you won't miss his appearance. about eleven seconds into the clip, you can already spot him in the far right. you can see what he's knitting about five and a half minutes into the clip. and i adore his silly little impersonation near the end of the clip when he's sitting by his sister jo. ;)

and here is a video from that fuji film thing that he did. it's a video of him and his time with lightspeed champion at manchester radio station, as well as them singing together a rendition of "souvenirs" while also having a bit of fun.

before the manchester radio station performance, he had picked up a toy at shepherds bush market which he was convinced of it being a terrorism tool as each button says something else and one says "war" repeatedly while another says "new york, new york". i found it rather hilarious when listening to it despite the fact that i could barely understand a good majority of what the toy was saying, check out the mp3 of the toy here.

The explanations are in italian,sorry (and sorry for my bad english,now).
I put some lyrics under the pictures that could fit them,or that could only be slightly inspired by them.

dear all.
Well as the summer has given us its summer solstice. Life has changed here for me.
It is strange that I will be 25 this year. . 25 is such an odd
feeling, quarter of a century it is. It makes you look back on what you have acheived and be proud of yourself. I have made many changes in my life, found a home, found my feet on good earth again after all the touring of last year. I came home and found myself again. At the end of the magic position reignbough was my treasure, a boy conqueror who helped put the wreck that I became last year together again. I think I lost myself last
december. Love heals the deepest wounds.
I have spent the last month in battle, 1066 hastings, recording the next album, im digging right
deep to the bottom of my heart this time. there have been tears and screaming and nocturnal hours and lots of battle of beleif and heart, im really going on some exploration this time round, be prepared! I checked myself into a rehearsal studio yesterday in london bridge to
start thinking about the album tour and, I cant say what my new idea is because some random
pop fluff might come steal my identity again but let me say that it will be major. major. lots of exciting collaborations are abound. joni mitchell, if you can hear me, I have a song called theseus for you to do with me... x all the strength and happiness to you in these summer months. love yourself first and the rest will follow.
oh.. p.s. I hope you enjoy the angelo badlamenti song careless love, there are two different versions recorded that you will hear in good time and also my version of careless talk will be unveiled sometime soon too
go see the edge of love, its a beautiful film about a wonderful poet by a fantastic director. and you can hear the song in the middle of movie after the marriage. for those in london, ill see you at bishi with the london symphony orchestra.. bring your cameras. document this moment in time, east and west come together x PW

Careless Talk

I've got a bit of an issue and I was hoping one of you could help. I'm sure other US fans would appreciate this as well.

The soundtrack for The Edge of Love includes a song by Patrick, track 11, called Careless Talk. I had a British friend of mine download it, but I didn't realise I couldn't listen to it, because I wasn't the one who purchased it. I tried to unprotect it with some weird software, me being desperate and all. Needless to say, it didn't work.

I'm not sure if the soundtrack will be added to the US iTunes store and I'm really anxious to hear the whole song, beyond the 30 second clip. The song, from what I heard, sounds absolutely gorgeous. It has a nice crooner vibe to it. Could anyone point me towards the full song/ provide a download link for an unprotected version? I have every intention of purchasing the song if it ever comes out on US iTunes.

I hope that all made sense. Thank you to anyone who can help me out.

So Patrick said on the BBC video that the song "Secret Garden" is unfinished, even though he pur a version of it on TMP and that he wants people to help his work on it. He said there are like 50 versions of it. I've heard several amazing but different ones and I'm wondering what the rest of you have heard for interesting lyrics. And also, what do you think the song is about?

So I guess this new song "Thickets" is related to "The Tower" but it definitely doesn't seem like the same song. I'm trying to figure out the lyrics from the "Tate Modern" performance. Could y'all help me figure them out?
