back when Panic! was touring with the Academy Is... and Hellogoodbye, they were selling some awesome merch that i was told was made by a fan. I bought this amazing bag, but after using it non-stop, it's a little worn out. So i was wondering if anyone knew who this fan was or how i can contact her (or him) about the best way to fix it.
thanks so much if you have any info.

For some reason there was a backlog of entries in the queue and none of us got any notification there were entries awaiting approval until today. Sorry about that, and apologies all around to those who posted here and never found your entries in the journal. Nothing against you or your post, blame the internet!

Sorry this summer has been so dead... it's been very busy for all of us and 3 of us have moved, so things have been hectic, but we're hoping to get some stuff started up very soon. We're not dead yet, and the Mafia is still here for those who still want to be a part of it!

Those of you who are curious about the status of the flyaway, we have talked about it with a lot of people and everyone agrees if we put it off to the next tour or even to next year, it would be better for all involved. We'd have more time to plan, more time to raise money for funding, more time to make sure it's AWESOME. Keep saving up!

Don't forget we're always here if you need to talk to us for any reason. Don't be hesitant if you need help!

We've been meeting some of you guys at Warped, which is awesomeeeee. If you see one of us, come say hi! We would LOVE to meet you. Jess and I met some of you in Texas, Tess and Jenn are doing a lot of West Coast dates, and I'll be around at a lot of the Midwest shows [maybe even an East Coast one or two]. There's tons you can do at Warped, just stop by the FBR tent and tell Metal you're on Panic's street team and ask him what you can do to help promo. He will have tons of stuff to hand out and I'm sure he'd be glad to have the help. :)

Keep up the great work, guys! We love you!

-- Linda [and Jess and Tess and Jenn]

p.s. Anyone going to the Grand Rapids or Indianapolis dates of the Panic tour?

05.17.2006
There really isn’t a good way to say this, and it was a decision that was very tough to make, but feels like it will be the right decision for everyone. We regret to inform you that Brent is no longer a part of Panic at the Disco, and although this choice does feel very healthy, he is a great friend of ours and he will definitely be missed. We all wish him well and the best of luck in everything he wants to do in the future. The last few years will be something we will never forget, all the places we’ve been that we never thought we’d go and things we’ve seen that we thought we’d never see when we started this band.
Right now our friend jon is going to be filling in, and I’m sure it would ease his nerves a bit to get a warm reception. We’re at home preparing for the summer tour, and we’ve never worked so hard on putting something together. I can’t tell you how excited we are for these shows and for you all to see what we’ve been planning, we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves…just you wait.

- panic

From the Panic! site...

We love you guys, and we do so much for you guys. We go out of our ways to help you guys out whenever possible.

But seriously..... stop asking us to put you on the guest list. It's rude as hell. ESPECIALLY if you never, ever, ever, ever, ever promote. You don't ask to be on the guest list, someone puts you on the guest list. And if you don't promote, you're NOT getting guest listed. I can think of about 5 people on the ENTIRE TEAM off the top of my head who do enough promotion to warrant being put on a list. Trust me, if I know who you are, it's because you promote and you talk to me about it.

Offended because you do tons of promo? Why aren't you telling us about it? If you're motivated by rewards rather than the sheer fun of promoting [which is what the team is about, p.s.] then you should be all up in our faces to be like LOOK AT ALL THIS SHIT I'M DOING! It's alllllll about telling us when you do stuff.

I am honestly offended at the way some people talk to the team leaders. When I was just starting out on the team, I would have never had to audacity to demand guest list from ANYONE.

Seriously, kids. Have some manners.

So I got this idea from the Camp TAI flyaway and Overcast Kids flyaways. I was thinking that we, the street team, could have a meetup somewhere at some point in time. Right now, it's just a rough idea, but I think we could get this to work. I've already had about four or five people show interest.

I talked to Linda about this, and here's the deal.
She said it's a good idea, but there is a lot of stuff involved, and I agree. The main issue would be money/funding [since it's free to be on the street team]. She'd also have to talk to Panic!'s manager about it. And lastly, she said that if we show them a lot of people are interested, they'd be more inclined to entertain the idea.

So please tell other street team members about this so they know! I think that this could definitely be a possibility with hard work and if enough people show interest. It would take a lot of time and more effort, but it would be so worth it in the end. Leave your thoughts on this and if you would be interested.

Forgive Durden

FORGIVE DURDEN VIDEO - LOOKING FOR EXTRAS!!!! We will be shooting a video for the song "Beware the Jubjub Bird and Shun the Frumious Bandersnatch" from April 14-16th in Annapolis, Maryland. We're looking for bar full of extras to come help us out and have some fun with us. Please read the details below and get in touch! - Forgive Durden

Wardrobe Description?
The setting for the video is a very popular, high class bar/club. It's important that our extras look like they belong there. We want the club to look like it's a haven for rich business kids who've just graduated college and are wealthy, successful rookies in their respective firms or fields. So if you aren't actually around the age of 23, it's important that you at least look like you are.

Guys?
We need you dressed nice. This isn't a wedding, though, it's a club. You came here to party. Button-up dress shirts. Blazers. Designer jeans or dress slacks. SHORT HAIR that's 'elegantly disheveled.' Nice watches. It is very important to the look of video that these requirements are met.

Gals?
We also need you dressed nice. This is the club scene and your time to shine and turn heads. Cocktail dresses will probably be the best. Nice blouses with designer jeans will also work, though. Make-up. Jewelery.

Other?- Must be at least 18 years old.
?- Must be in the Annapolis, MD area (30 mins from Balt and DC) on April 14th and April 15th.
?- Must be available from 8 a.m. to 4p.m. each day.
If you'd like to be in the video, feel that you meet the above description and meet the timing needs, please email durdenvideo@onesmallinstrument.com with your name and a picture (or link to your myspace pictures).
