I had my first show over the weekend and it was really successful, just over $500 in sales along with two bookings and a possible third booking.

So, I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions for getting bookings at other parties.  My sponsor came out and did my starter show and basically got the people to book.  Any tips or tricks you guys want to share with a noobie? ^_^

Red Apple Tealights
Hi! I'm looking for someone who might have some red apple tealights stashed somewhere that I could buy. I'm a consultant in Sweden and had some left in my personal stash that I sold to a customer a few months ago. Now, my daughter is getting married in a month (in Indiana) and wants red and orange tealights on the tables at the reception. I have mango & tangerine, but need some red apple (the red flower scent, I'm not sure what it's called in English, is too strong for this purpose, I am afraid). A partial box is better than nothing. I'd be forever grateful if someone could help me out. I'd be happy to pay for them and the postage to my daughter in Indiana.

Team Scavenger Hunt
At our unit meeting this week, my unit leader challenged us to get the answers to these questions from as many different consultants as possible, so I'm coming to you for answers. I/we greatly appreciate any and all input.

1. Get one idea for getting multiple bookings at your June/July shows.

2. Find out how one consultant is presenting the consultant business opportunity at her June/July shows or how she is currently following up with potential consultants.

3. What is one activity we could use at our next unit meeting to help increase shows booked and held by our unit in July.

4. If you were a leader, how would you teach your unit to book starter shows for July and how would you teach consultants to keep the potential new consultants engaged in PartyLite until their show?</i>

This is really information we can all benefit from. I'm looking forward to your answers! Thanks!!

Cah & Carry?!
I'm unable to do shows due to a broken leg, but was thinking of doing a cash & carry. I'd like to put in at least $500 this month to stay qualified so I was thinking about buying GCs with any profits...

Has anyone ever done one? What do you think about pricing? Any info/feeback would be appreciated.

Getting Started!
I'm excited that there is a LJ community! Whoo hoo!
I'm just getting started. I had my starter show and it was well over 350$. I get to pick up my kit tomorrow!

Right now I'm trying to get my 6 shows booked. I have:
2 booked
3 maybes
And I just need one more (I'll have another one myself if I need to)

I'm hoping to hear from the three maybes today...

I have a full time job, a side business in graphic design and a baby. Pretty full plate already, but hey, what's one more thing??

Mich. Mini-Conference
I took tons of photos of the AMAZING displays at the Mich. Mini-Conference and wanted to share them, however, I could only add them if they were not under a cut... so if you would like to view them free free to wander over to my personal journal.

One of the girls in my unit told me that she took about a 100 pictures at National Conference and saved a ton of money by not purchasing as much Holiday Product. She put the pics in a mini-album and passed it around at her shows. Just a thought!!! :)

Another Question
Does all of PartyLite's glass contain 24% lead crystal? It's late and I don't want to bug my consultant until tomorrow afternoon, but I'm working on a presentation and don't want to stop in the middle either.

Thanks!!

Show idea's?
Hey, I'm just starting out with PartyLite. My starter show is April 17th...
I've been "partying" with the same consultant for almost 2 years, and the group of people who will be hosting shows for me to start are all those that have been to parties with me & my consultant.
So I want something "new" for the parties I'll be hosting. Anyone have any idea's for games, or door prizes or anything?? We've played Bingo & Jepordy... I'm looking for something fun to keep them entertained.

Thanks!!

Hello!

I'm considering becoming a Partylite consultant, and I had a few questions....

First - I know that you have to have a current consultant to sponsor you. My problem is that NO ONE around me is a Partylite consultant! I was wondering if you can be sponsored by a person in another city, or even state. And if so, would any of you be interested? :)

My next question - I would have SEVERAL people that would be interested in purchasing from me, but they all live in different cities/states. Would I be able to collect orders from them and add it to a show and have it count? Say, for my starter show....I know that I have to have a $350 order to get my kit free....could I collect orders from people who couldn't come to the show physically?

I hope that someone can help me out. My partner and I are expecting our first child in September, and we need the extra income. I've always wanted to be a consultant, this is just some extra incentive.

Thank you guys so much!

Ok so...
Earlier this morning, I recieved an e-mail from a PL Consultant. I assume she didn't call because she lives in another state. But anyways, in the e-mail she kept referring to the "Hostess Specials", and I assume she was under the impression that I wanted to be a hostess. Well, I wrote her an e-mail back telling her that I was thinking of becoming a consultant. Immediately after sending the e-mail, I got an e-mail confirmation that she read the e-mail. About an hour later, I heard nothing from her, and sent her another e-mail asking her if she was getting my e-mails because sometimes my e-mail goes nuts, and there was a reciept sent to me saying she read that one as well.... but she has yet to respond back. This was hours ago.

I've been waiting 4 days for someone to contact me...so I was very excited when someone finally did.

I hope she e-mails me soon. I'm very antsy to get started. =(

Hey Everyone...
Recently I've been highly considering becomming a consultant. As I understand, in my first 2 weeks of being a consultant, I have to have 6 parties. So I've been working on finding hosts for those parties. It's a little harder for me being as I just moved here to the Louisville area and I don't know anyone.

I'm not ready to fill out the form for a consultant to contact me because I really want to find out as much information as possible. If in turn I find out that PartyLite is not for me, I don't want to waste a consultants time or energy.

So my questions are these....

I read on the site that if in your 6 parties, you make over 350 dollars, your kit is free. Now, if I don't make 350 dollars, how much does the kit cost? And is it 'free' or do I just get reimbursed? Once I become a consultant in the Louisville area, is that the only place I can have parties? I go home to NY quite a bit, and I just wonder if there are rules against selling there? And can consultants throw their own parties?

I guess I just want to know everything there is to know before I take the leap. Any information anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Once I'm satisfied with the information I've recieved, I think I'm gonna go ahead and find a local consultant and get myself started. =)

Thanks everyone!

Hello
Well looky here, there's a PartyLite community, how cool is that?! I started in November... I live in Savannah, GA, and am in the Morning Star Region. The SRVP is Shannon Pell, and she also sponsored me and is my Unit Leader, and she is fabulous. Any other Morning Star folks here?
Last weekend, I was able to attend the retreat in Knoxville, which was the Morning Star Region and $ellabration region (Leigh Kirk) combined. It was awesome!!!! Did anyone else go to that?

I'm sure I will have lots of questions and ideas to bounce off yall here, but for now, I just wanted to say hello and find out whether I might know some of you!

scent question
I want to put together tealight samplers as a way to encourage my hostesses to have at least 10 adults at their shows. Basically the idea is to buy 12 popular scents and create 12 boxes of tealight samplers. Before their show, they can have pre-ordering guest or invtees sample our fragances. And if they have 10 people ta the show, they can keep the sample pack as a gift. (I got the idea off of Best of Boards.)

My question is simple: What scents?

Some ideas: Mulberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, French Vanilla, Pineapple and Pomegrante, Cinnamon Sticks...

Then I get lost in a sea of ymummy scents... Help.
