[17 Apr 2009|10:21pm] |
My copy of New Idea finally arrived, so I present you the interview with Craig and his colleague Lesley-Ann, who plays Leilani on Diplomatic Immunity: Lesley-Ann's my princess. There was a very nice picture, too.
My lovely NZ contact also sent an article from the Sunday Star Times, on Legend of the Seeker: The legends live on.
And, the very talented Mresundance allowed me to upload this: Iko Iko, his fabulous music video (rightclick save, please!). I also promised to pimp his new Livejournal Community, No immunity. Go forth and join, it's excellent! :)

| Diplomatic Immunity |
[15 Mar 2009|09:07pm] |
I screencapped the first episode of Diplomatic Immunity, you can find the caps here.
There are two reviews for the show on the Diplomatic Immunity page here and here. The reviews are so-so, and the comments at the end of the second review are mixed. Some people really liked it, some didn't at all. Craig's performance was mentioned favourably, though: Leightong Mills is described as "played with bureaucratic brilliance, like a tightly furled black brolly, by Craig Parker". Heh. :)
Sarah also sent in a second picture from the launch, which you can see here. And Throng, New Zealand's excellent TV website and community, has a page dedicated to the show here. Check it out for news and press releases (one for the second episode, amongst other things)!

The wonderful Kathy sent me a link to Craig's appearance on Breakfast (on TV One). He talks about Diplomatic Immunity and is generally just adorable. You can find it on YouTube here. Many, many thanks for that! :)

| Diplomatic Immunity page and LotS promo pics |
[09 Mar 2009|08:12pm] |
Diplomatic Immunity is starting on TV One in New Zealand tomorrow (10 March). Just in time I created and updated the special page for the series here. There's images there, some interesting articles and there will be more over time. Enjoy! (The last image on the site is from the series launch on 24 February. Many thanks to Sarah for the find!)
There's some promo images for the next episode of Legend of the Seeker here.
In the next update: Legend of the Seeker screencaps, promise!

| This and that |
[06 Feb 2009|07:38pm] |
I emailed the ATC to enquire why Craig pulled out of God of Carnage. The email I got back didn't go into any detail, but it says this: Regrettably Craig Parker has decided to withdraw from GOD OF CARNAGE, so that he can pursue film work. No info yet on this, but I'll keep you updated on anything I hear about this "film work".
I found this site: NZ on Screen and they have a page on Gloss, the 80s series Craig appeared in. Go via that link and you can watch the very first episode of the series. Sadly, Craig is not in it, but it's still interesting to see, even if just for the bad hair. ;)
Allegedly, Diplomatic Immunity is supposed to start in NZ this month. I can't find any air dates yet, but you'll be the first to know when I do!
And, for all French speaking fans of Legend of the Seeker, here is a French fan site for the show.

| No God of Carnage! |
[29 Jan 2009|08:25am] |

Bad news! :( Craig won't be appearing in God of Carnage, after all. I just got an email from the Maidment Theatre alerting me to that fact. ATC have already changed their website. I hope nobody had booked any flights yet specifically for this...

| PSA |
[21 Jan 2009|07:10pm] |
Because it has come up today, and because there are quite a few new faces in the fandom, now that Craig is doing new shows and films I thought it time for a little PSA:
This website is unofficial and fan-run, meaning that neither does Craig read it or knows (much) about it, to my knowledge. I am not related to Craig and I don't know him personally, nor do I know anyone who does. What I post on this site is information that is either freely available online or gets sent to me by people who acquire information and pictures. I am indebted to all those wonderful individuals, without whom this website could not exist. I do credit everybody who makes a contribution, unless they ask me not to. Everything I do not credit for I have found/purchased myself.
Doing a website is a lot of work, but I love it still, after all these years. I have the slight advantage that I work in marketing and have had a lot of experience with PR over the year, so I know how to search effectively and how to make good contacts. But mostly, it's my fondness for the man that keeps me going. And of course all of you, because it's just no fun if there's nobody to share with. :)
I don't require you to credit me or the website for every single picture you take from here. It is of course much appreciated if you give a quick mention to the site. Feel free to use images for icons etc, unless expressly stated not to. However, don't nick fan reports or pictures from events, as these are posted with their owner's permission only on for site.
As for the Live Journal community that goes with this website, it serves the double purpose of archiving posts and having a kind of "feed" for people's friends pages. It is not meant to replace or outperform any communities, and only I can post to it (as it's just duplicating what I post to the website here).
If you have any questions, please just ask. :)

| God of Carnage promo pics |
[16 Jan 2009|09:00pm] |
I thought you guys might appreciate bigger versions of the lovely promo pictures for God of Carnage, so I got myself the ATC 2009 catalogue. :) Here are the pictures: Number 1 and Number 2. There will also be a proper page for the play at a later date.
I also managed to miss the site's birthday again! It was created on 7 January 2005, that makes it 4 years old now. Take the scans as a birthday pressie. :)

| God of Carnage |
[11 Jan 2009|06:39pm] |

So, what do we know about the new play? Not too much at the moment, it appears. It is called "God of Carnage" and is being put on by the Auckland Theatre Company, with whom Craig has worked on a number of occasions. The play runs from 23 July to 15 August 2009. In case you are interested, there is a page on Wikipedia with a plot summary here. No word yet on the character Craig will play, but I will update you as soon as I find out. Aquapiyo posted a picture from the ATC brochure here. He's looking mighty fine, as always. :) Yours truly might decide to actually make the trip to NZ for this, but this is to be decided at a later date, when finances for the year can be assessed more accurately. ;)
