QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Do you think that if you came back as a spirit you would look the same way you did when you died? (like if you drowned you would look as though you had drowned). Or would you look like you were more alive?

i think i depends on the circumstances. if you drowned on your own, the i beleive you'll look more alive. if you were murdered however, i think you'd look as though you'd drown. kindof like a way of a warning to people. especially if the killer's still alive. once their killer dies, they may regain a little more color or power, because there's not as much controling them.

I think depending on the circumstances you can choose whether you are a spirit or not. It all depends on what you deserve and don't deserve. I also believe in Reincarnation so my beliefs are a little torn.

yes/no. i don't think you have the option of choosing what you're going to be, but i do beleive you'll be turned into something that you carry a trait of. say you love milk/dairy products, are calm, and like to play, you may be a cat in your next life. so how you carry out your life now determines what you're next one'll be carried out as.
if you're talking about ghosts, i beleive it's like casper. if you have "unfinished business," you'll be placed here to carry on your afterlife until you solve it. like a form of purgatory or limbo.

nope. never smelt anything weird. never really payed that much attention to it though. i'd think it was someone or something rational that caused it otherwise i'd probably get scared. if i smell burning in my house, which is common, then i blame it on our heater, because half the time it'll happen either before or after it kicks on.

yes, I was somewhere I thought was haunted and I smelt something out of no where. At the 11th street railroad tracks I was checking out I smelt clorine. I don't know if that has anything to do with it being haunted or not, but I smelt it and it was odd.

I keep seeing and hearing stuff. It started again last night. I was laying down in my bed it was about 10:45, It sounded like someone was banging stuff in the kitchen so i got up and looked but no one was home. Then later i was out playing moms key board. I felt like someone was watching me but i didnt see anyone. Then when i stood up i swear i saw something white flash infront of my face. Then a few seconds later i saw it again. Then today i keep seeing something pass my bedroom door but i am the only one home.

Results of expedition to Lockport Texas. (No, it was not me who went.)

This building was once the old jailhouse and was in use until the early 1980's. In its early history, hangings were actually conducted on the grounds. Reported spirits include former prisoners, the jailer, and his wife.

Present for the investigation from Lone Star Spirits were Pete Haviland, Carolyn Phinny, and Joe Perez.

Observations made by our team:

Unexplained smells of floral perfume, urine, and feces.

Equipment used:

Standard 35mm camera with Kodak/Fuji color 800 speed film or better

Sony Nightshot video camera

Sony shoebox recorder with external microphone and new 90 minute high-quality tape.

Results:

One vortex and one orb on still shots, and several moving orbs captured in one old cell that had been sealed for the investigation, and some unexplained bangings and sounds of gunshots.

GHOST: This word is derived from the Saxon word gaste, meaning spirit. In common usage, a ghost is the soul of a dead person that becomes visible to the living. Psychic researchers refer to a ghost as a recurring apparition. A ghost does not inter react with the living but rather repeats the same action over and over, like a tape being replayed again and again.

HAUNTING: A haunting is an ongoing paranormal disturbance that is associated with a particular place. Features of a haunting can include sounds, temperature changes, drafts, movement of objects without apparent cause, lights and apparitions. Hauntings were first written about by ancient Egyptians and Greeks. The White House is reported to be haunted.

POLTERGEIST: From a German term polter, meaning a noise and geist meaning spirit. In other words a "noisy ghost". *Many parapsychologists believe as many as 1 in 8 households in America at any given time are experiencing some kind of paranormal phenomenon.

*Belief in ghosts is traced back to as far back as 3,500 B.C. in early Egyptian manuscripts which speak about spirits and out-of-body experiences.

*The Capital Building in Washington D.C. is alledgedly haunted by a demonic cat that appears in the basement to fortell national disaster.

*Legend has it that looking into the eyes of a person you kill will cause them to come back and haunt you.

*Legend has it that a ghost cannot cross a body of water.

*One in every six Americans believes they have seen, heard, of felt a spirit at least once in their lifetime.

*It is common lore that if you don't hold your breath when going by a cemetery you will breath in the spirit of a person who is recently deceased.
