Hiatus end two days early because YAAAAY got a handle on my homework B)

The castle’s decor gradually gets more and more intricate. The lobby sports Christmas trees so tall their stars nearly brush the domed ceiling, and bells have become the new staple of decor. Residents will want to take note of the bells, in particular, as they’re just about everywhere. It seems the ringing incites... feelings.

And the atmosphere! Anyone who ever claimed Paradisa was never good will have to eat their words as the nostalgia creeps around the castle. While there are never any real illusions or hallucinations, the almost synesthetic quality to the castle is hard to ignore. A glance around your room might stir thoughts of home. A jog around the grounds might dig up some old memories of good times. A mindless conversation with a friend might bring to mind that time of your life where things were perfect. It’s not complicated, or overwhelming: it’s just a gentle prod, easily ignored until they start happening more and more frequently.

It’s not just a reminder of where you lived in your world, or where you’ve been, or the places you’ve seen. It’s home. It’s wherever you felt safest, or most loved. Wherever you felt like you truly belonged. Where you were happy. Where your mind returns for your fondest memories.

You can have home here, too, you know, the castle whispers into sleeping residents’ ears every night, so quietly. Just a whispered hush, loving and motherly.

Residents wake every morning to the smell of hot apple cider, home-cooked breakfast and another door on the advent calendar unlocked. They may not remember ever hearing a voice, but the thought still crosses their minds.

Could they have a permanent home here?


The second “empty” advent day is Saturday the 12th.

Residents will wake up to a gift from the castle, from home. It’s something small, something specific and meaningful. You may use this post to plan what your character will get!

You may have noticed those silver bells lurking everywhere in the recent additions to the castle. Until now, they were simply harmless, albeit shiny decorations.

But now? They've been enchanted.

Upon hearing the ring of the bells, one may be compelled to lay a smooch on the nearest innocent bystander. Whether it's an innocent kiss on the cheek or full on Frenching is all up to you.

This event will last from the 7th to the 18th! Please use this post to plan out who's kissin' who. ♥

Yo, peeps. I am one of those awesome people who work in the retail business. And with season kicking in I'm getting more hours at work. So, if my tags are slow that's the reason.

And excuses for why my characters will be quietish are as follows

Peter: is a workaholic
Cordelia: forgets her journal frequently..? something like that

I think I need to go ahead and call a retroactive hiatus, if the mods will allow it, from this past Monday through the immediate foreseeable future. Stephanie's still in the ICU and I've got no clue when she'll be moved out--it could be tonight, it could be tomorrow, it could be Sunday. Turns out she never had a UTI, it's a fucking STAPH INFECTION, so now my family will be lucky not to get it too as we've been petting on her all week.

I've been doing my best to keep up with posts, but I've been spending roughly 12 hours a day at the hospital and when I get home, I go to sleep. If I see a post that a character of mine needs to comment on, I'll throw one in, but I seriously doubt I'll be able to even remotely actively thread until Stephanie's out of the hospital.

She thinks you're all sweet for thinking of her, by the way.

YEAH SO, I'm semi-hiatusing until the 9th. Blah. Final projects suck and I suck for putting them off until the last week of classes.

I'll still be around for the Joker thing (which should happen tonight I thiiiink) and its aftermath, and I'll be on aim still. Just... don't expect posts from Mai or Luki and probably not Bakura, and very little tagging from me.

Also sorry for any dropped tags! School, my ass getting kicked, etc. etc. Blame dirt and silly rocks and their disgustingly hard to decipher scarring patterns. :\

From now until Sunday, I will mostly be working on a paper that determines my entire grade for a class, and a group project that's due next week, ugh. I will still tag around a bit, but they may be slow and infrequent, FYI. After that I will be tagging lots and lots because mwahaha I won't have anything else to do (at least, nothing that will stress me out). The term actually ends on the 11th, woohoo!

Nnng, so, you wouldn't have known it, because you were seeing my ugly face all over the place, buuuut I was on a hiatus for the last two weeks. Yeah, I fail at hiatusing. When Gil ran off the other night to look for Jack, he lost his hat along the way. :) He loves that hat and will shit bricks if he doesn't get it back.
