| Papillon Rose New Season: Character Profiles |

Hey, long time no post! ^^ I've started to make an attempt at translating the profiles for the TV series, which were up on the official site before it went offline. I'm being rather lazy at the moment, so so far I've only got the profiles of the four main Papillon girls translated, but it's a start! I've also included their introductions and transformation phrases, but not their attacks yet, except for Rose, since they have so many random one-shot attacks it's a little bit crazy to list them all. ^^;

It's interesting to see how the profile's have been changed and expanded since the ONA days. ^^ I also noticed they've changed the girls' introduction phrases, making them now pretty much identical to each other... not sure if that's a good thing or not. ^^;
Ah, and also, I might as well post it here... It might be of interest to some people, but thanks to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) tsubomi's help, I'm slowly working my way through translating the dialog from the TV episodes! Some parts are a bit difficult for me to translate, as it's my first time translating mainly by ear, but it's good practice, at least. :3 I can't promise a fansub or anything like that at the end (I have no idea how to go about doing that ^^;) but I can at least upload the translated scripts once I'm done. It might take me a a while, as I currently only have the first four episodes with me, but it's going along. I have the first two episodes almost completely translated now, so watch the comm, once I'm finished with them they should be appearing here soon! (Well, soon by my standard...:3)

Okay, either no one in this group has seen the Black Cat series, or you have and missed the HUGE Papillon Rose spoof in the series.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a scan of the photo of the Regina Apis look-alike holding her pet T-Rex, named Flora, on the internet at all. Since its such a wonderful series, I suggest getting $50.00 and buying the entire series at Best Buy or wherever. In the booklet that comes with the complete series is a scan of the photo I'm talking about.
Oh... and the Regina Apis clone in here calls everyone "Dahling". lol

Sorry if this is spam, but it hurts my very soul to see this community so slow lately. SOOO... I started wondering if people were still interested in the Papillon Flora Project I started a few months back.
If I remember we didn't make plot, but we had about six new characters created and up for modification. I'm in college (which keeps me very busy), but I could work on this during my free time on weekends.
So... dead or alive?
If it's not dead, I think I want to maybe do some test voice runs Does anyone want to volunteer? Also, does anyone know enough japanese so we could do both japanese and english?

Heheh, this is a little early christmas present for everyone. ^^ I've been working on these for ages, I'm such a procrastinator, and I finally got around to finishing them today. Here are some little adoptable sprite-thingies of all the main papillon soldiers, I think. The base is my own, it didn't come from an existing game or anything, so I don't know if these really count as "sprites," but still, hehe.
I'm sure you know who these all are, but going from left to right, top to bottom, these are supposed to be: Rose, Margarette, Lily, Violet, Dalia, Petite-Rose Adonis, Lupinus, Cosmos and finally Flora.

| Su, Ran and Miki: Name Origins |

So I began watching Shugo Chara a while ago, and lo and behold I see these names again. Su, Ran and Miki are the heroine Amu-chan's 3 charas. I wondered if there was some bizarre connection to Papillon Rose. As it turns out, the names come from the members of a famous J-Pop group from the 1970's called Candies. Ran Ito was Ran, Yoshiko Tanaka was Sue (or Su), and Miki Fujimura was..um, Miki. So there you have it.
If you already knew this, please ignore. I just thought it might be an interesting bit of trivia for others who didn't.

Not an official comment to my knowledge but finally someone else made a comment on the Pinkco bulletin board about the DVD Box set.
...Though I don't know exactly what it says, and running it through Nifty, while not as bad as Babelfish, doesn't really help me much.
All I can say is... I don't entirely think the person is saying -good- things about the box set. It seems like there's some issues with it due to various reasons (copyright, lack of master copies, etc).

DVD-BOX見ていますが……各方面に失礼かもしれませんが、正直、ひどいです。
まず、1～3話含め、すべてTV版(1～3話に関してはマスター現存しているはずなのでは……？)、OP、ED曲は差し替え(版権の都合等あるかもしれないのでこれは仕方ないのかもしれませんが)、クレジットの一部にモザイクがかかっているという有様です。
個人的には、わざわざDVD6枚に分けているのもどうしてだろうと思います(特典含めても片面単層4枚にまとめられたはず。二層使えばさらにコンパクトにできるのに……)。
これで約2万円(実際には1万5千円ほどですが)支払ったかと思うと、正直、ん～、と思ってしまいます。
4～6話についてはマスターがないという以上、仕方ないかと思いますが、その他の問題をクリアした上でもう一度出し直していただくことは……できないかな……orz

I'm probably going to e-mail Pincko at some point about it to see what the story is, though from reading the comments on the BBS it seems this is just the television versions (though even having those in better quality would be nice) of the episodes.
Hmm, even places like CDJapan have it listed, so at least I know it's real.

By the way, for anyone who has been interested in getting the TV series but was put off by the high price of the first three DVDs (about $60 each depending on who you buy it from, not including shipping), this set will make each episode less than $33 (I checked, if bought from CDJapan, using EMS shipping, it's $195 and something cents) which is pretty fair for an import in my opinion.

tsubomi very kindly hooked me up with the kanji to some of the songs from the original Papillon Rose ONA/R/G stuff, so continuing on from my last post here I decided to start with translating the OP and the ED to the OVA. I've looked over these briefly, but I can't be sure they're free of errors, so if you notice anything please let me know. ^^

| TV Series Opening and Ending Themes |

I was messing around today, and I finally got around to translating the ending theme to the TV series, SUSANOO San Shimai Ai no TEEMA. (It'd been lying half-finished on my harddrive for quite a while now ^^;) I also went back of my translation of Hikari no Kizuna, the opening theme, and noticed a few rather glaring errors, which I fixed. I've included both here, the fixed translation of the OP as well as the ED. Each one is under its own fake lj-cut.
Kizuna is rather pretty, very sailor moon-ish lyrics, but the ED is just hilarious! It suits the alien sisters perfectly. XD A big thank you to tsubomi for the kanji and the romanisation of the lyrics, which really helped when trying to separate the words from each other! *looks at the ED and wants to stab things*

I was thinking that maybe the group could have a small group project. :)
What I was planning was to make a fan-created season of Papillon Rose based on the Stars season of Sailor Moon. I had already created the papillon equal to the Sailor Stalights ( http://community.livejournal.com/papillon_rose/145396.html ) so I though it would be a fun idea.
I thought it could be called Papillon Rose Flora for "Flower orb", like how the Sailor Moon Stars is for star seeds. For this project we would need:
-Plot/Epsiode writers= Mrs_Hatake (Need more writers!)
-Artist (For character and scene pics) = darkmercure , Mrs_hatake (just to help with character designs)
-Character designer (can draw or not) = renji_seira , Mrs_Hatake
-Voice acting for new senshi and villians?!
-any ideas people come up
Sorry about me inserting myself into so many areas. As we get more people I won't be doing as much stuff. ^^;;
Good idea or no? Anyone interested? XD
