Tazewell's Favorite Eccentric #7 is sort of loosely themed around sex and sexuality. As always, writing about relationships sort of snuck in. There's a letter to this boy I had a crush on and why it could never be, what I want from my next relationship, a piece about sex work/domination (and my experienced therein), teenage promiscuity (again, personal experiences and reflections), homo/bisexuality and queerness, and a few other short random pieces.
The deets: TFE7 weighs about an ounce and a half, is 18 pages with a violet cardstock cover. It cost $2 via mail (Sarah Arr!, PO BOX 235, North Tazewell, VA 24630) or $2.50 via paypal (to piratesarah at gmail dot com). It can also be had for a perzine trade or a cleverly themed mix cd.
Questions?
I've got a bunch of random comp zines working around in my head, and have for awhile. But for good reasons (that aren't really public blog material) I haven't really had much time/energy/money to flesh them out. If you'd be interested in any of the following, leave me a comment or send me an email (piratesarah at gmail dot com).
Hometown Proud - thoughts on home. Stories, descriptions, pictures, photography about your memories and concepts of the idea of home. Your hometown, or the the first place that felt like you could make a life there.

Princess Who - reinventing and redefining women in fairy tales. What would happen if Show White demanded equal wages from the dwarves or Cinderella was queer? This is a great chance to reclaim female archetypes in a more positive light.

Coming Clean - the coming out stories of queer/trans folks.

Mental Wealth - Dealing with "mental illness," exploring alternatives to traditional medicine, finding a safe outlet for your thoughts and feelings. How have these things affected you? How do you cope with stress?

(Crossposted around like crazy. Sorry!)

"doris" #25 & "HPV" are the most recent additions to the paper trail distro catalogue! "doris" #25 is the continuation of cindy's encyclopedia series, in which she answers questions about anarchism, focusing on the important things, her memories of her mom, quitting drinking, & more. "HPV" is an incredibly well-researched resource that ought to answer just about all your questions about HPV, the most common STI around. there are a few more new zines coming in soon, & possibly a few non-zine items too.

paper trail distro focuses on personal zines with radical or d.i.y. emphases. i have all kinds of different zines on bikes, parenting, reproductive health, mental health, traveling, death, abuse, addiction, queer & trans issues, feminism, urban sustainability, & a lot more. the catalogue is about 150 zines strong, & i'm always looking for new stuff, so feel free to send your zine in for consideration to: 14 hyde park ave. #1a, jamaica plain ma 02130. (& see here for submission guidelines.) & ordering is easy: i take paypal, cash, checks, & money orders, & the website features a postage-paid shopping cart so you don't have to mess around with a bunch of math.

i am offering wholesale prices for a lot of the zines in the catalogue too. yellow paypal buttons are for wholesale orders. you have to order at least three copies of a given zine to get the wholesale price. if you're interested in wholesaleing something that doesn't have a yellow button, drop me a line & i'll see what i can do for you.

i also offer three different collections for people who don't want to fuss through the catalogue & like getting zines for a bargain. each collection ("newest additions," "hot sellers," & "ciara's choice") is $15 postage-paid to anywhere in the world, & you can buy two or more collections at once for even more savings. more details are here.

& of course, there are the ever-popular subscriptions. every three months, i package up a bunch of zines (fifteen of them), plus some specially-made zine-related craft items & mail them to the current subscribers. here's an example of some of what went into one package in january:

pretty exciting. one subscription is good for one awesome package, which is custom-packed to make sure you're not getting anything you have already ordered from me (to the best of my abilities). a subscription costs $30 within the u.s. & $35 elsewhere. OR you can get a free subscription when you place three orders of eight items or more. i have already given away at least a couple dozen free subscriptions that way. i keep track of your orders, so i'll just write & let you know when you're eligible for a free one. right now summer subscriptions are open. you have to order or qualify for a free one by midnight on june 30, & they will be mailed in the first week or july. praise for the subscriptions: "it was like xmas at my house when it came!" "they're amazing, everyone should get one." "i felt like i won the zine lottery!"

also, check out the interviews. there are a few dozen of them (newest: greg from "rice harvester," & eva from "what i saw from where i stood" should have one up in a week or two). they're pretty interesting.

http://www.papertraildistro.com

Hi, I am currently writing an honours dissertation on the relationship between Wikipedia and Fanzine cultures for the completion of my degree at the University of Stirling, Scotland. I would be very interested in asking anyone involved a few questions relating to this topic.

Would you be willing to be interviewed for this study? Initially I would like to ask you a few questions in an email with possibly another follow up email to clear up any points raised by your answers. This will not take much of your time at all and would be indispensable for me. Please let me know if you would be interested in taking part.

(i am always accepting zines for distro consideration, for real.)

i also launched a wholesale catalogue for infoshops & indie bookstores that want to stock up on zines. the zines that i have available for wholesale are indicated in the cataloague by yellow & green paypal buttons that ring up a wholesale price. orderers must pick up at least three copies of a given zine to use the wholesale pricing. if you have questions about this, please ask!

don't forget that spring distro subscriptions close at midnight on march 31, & will be mailed out in the first week of april. distro subscriptions consist of a selection of fifteen zines from the distro catalogue (an emphasis on newer items) & some crafty handmade surprises too. reception to the first subscription, mailed in january, has been really overwhelmingly positive. subscriptions cost $30 within the u.s. & $35 everywhere else. subscription orders received after march 31 will be mailed out in july, so act quick to get your springtime zine package!

learning to leave a paper trail zine distro.
