D&D minis Standard tournaments 7/16 and 8/20 Try out your Against the Giants minis after they are released this weekend! Once per month, on the third Wednesday of the month, we sanction Standard D&D Minis Tournaments at Pandemonium Books in Cambridge, MA. The next tournaments will be on 7/16, and then on 8/20. On other Wednesdays, we'll continue to offer "casual" minis games and I am very willing to teach interested players how to play the game on those nights. - I'd like tournament participants to arrive by 7:15 so that I can register you and start the tournament by 7:30. - Tournament players should be at least 12 years old. - Each participant can optionally pay a $5 entry fee to enter a prize pool based on the standings at the end of the tournament (every paying participant will receive several minis drafted from sealed boosters!) - Regardless of payment and placement, each tournament player will also receive a promotional mini. So if you are fairly comfortable with the new rules and want to try out your best warband in a competitive, timed tournament, you'll have your chance once a month! As always, feel free to email me with any questions or stop by our table on Wednesdays at Pandemonium starting at 6:30pm. Peter What: D&D Miniatures Constructed Tournament When: Wednesdays 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM Where: Pandemonium Books & Games, 4 Pleasant St., Cambridge MA 02139 Entry Fee: $5.00 Prizes: D&D minis drafted from booster packs selected by the highest- placing players. Special prizes also given to each participant. Contact: (617) 547-3721 If you have only been using your D&D minis for role-playing, you've been missing out on an exciting experience. The D&D Miniatures game pits warbands of iconic D&D monsters and heroes against each other on the field of battle. Swing by at 6:30 to learn how to play with a free and informal 50-point pick-up game, then stick around for a three-round, 200-point Swiss system tournament open to newcomers and veterans alike. The tournament is DCI-santioned, and promises to offer intense competition for all. Check it out! | | Sunday, July 6th, 2008 | 10:47 am [goldeneye1] |
Possible lost item back in February Hi everyone, I was in one of your Board Game Night events back in February, and I think I lost a black leather-type portfolio folder in the events area. That folder, I believe at last check, contained mail addressed to me as and also at least one personal document of mine. This folder should also has gold-colored lettering commemorating a convention which took place back in 2000, and has quite a bit of pockets in it.
The possible nights that I may have lost this folder could be February 13, 20 (most likely) or 27, if I indeed last had it there.
If you have seen this folder or possibly have it which fits the description, please let me know. Thanks! | | Friday, July 4th, 2008 | 2:16 pm [iconocaust]

D&D 4th Edition Demo Saturday June 21 Hi everyone!
Tyler has bribed me into running a D&D 4th Edition game at Pandemonium this coming Saturday (the 21st) from 1:00 to 4:00 (or there abouts) in the afternoon.
There's room for 5 or 6 players, in addition to the usual pre-gens, I'll bring the Tiefling Warlord from the D&D Insider site and may put together a few additional pre-gen characters to increase the variety.
Now I'm sure that I can't match Tyler's level of skill (a TPK the first time out!) but I'll do my best make you earn your reward.
ETA: You can send me a message via LJ or email me at caulay at livejournal dot com (use the normal conversions to turn into a "real" email address). | 7:48 pm [pana1999yote] |
