Hey all!  I've recently become a fan of this pairing.  I've really only seen the original Poke'mon, maybe half of Jhoto, so forgive my oldskool-newb.  Ha.  I'm so glad I found this community!  The ficlets here are wonderful reads. <33  I bring fanfic?

Hey everyone, I joined a few days ago, just wanted to say hi and link to my Shishi fics if nobody minds too much. :)

 

So earlier on in the anime, Gary used to wink at Ash every so often. Chaos, on Reason to Believe, has his winks down as a palletshippy hint, and I think they're generally considered one of those "hehe" things by palletshippers in general. But I was wondering, could there be another reason behind the winks, besides the usually presented ones for them (flirting or conveying some shared inside information)? Maybe there's something in Japanese culture behind them? Maybe the "information" conveyed through the winks is just, "I'm better than you and we both know it"? xD. Thanks for any help :D

Summary: It took me a few listens of the song to realise how Ash/Gary it was.. but it really does suit them. It's about their reluctance and refusal to admit to each other how they feel; it's a song about love and thorns, which is basically their relationship anyway.
