Welcome to Paire_Elite! 

First off I'll start by saying, this communtiy was NOT created because I am a pretentious elitist prick (and yes I realize elite is a part of the community's name, lol). It was also NOT created so people can gloat about how great they are at making icons. This communtiy was created because I am constantly being shocked, awed, and amazed at the amount of icon making talent most of you heroes fans have (particularly fans of the peter/clair pairing). I thought that it would be great if these talented people could have a safe haven where their graphics could be showcased (i.e. you). So...if you think that your icons have the power to make others freeze in their scrolling tracks (this is true b/c I have literally stopped scrolling just to stare at said beautious graphics)  or if your icons rock so hard that they speak for themselves, then please....by all means Apply. I don't think I'm a tough critic but I am looking for quality stuff. 

Never let these reasons deter you from applying: 
a) you think your work isn't good enough---cuz it probably is  
b) i will be mean when responding---cuz i definitely won't be
c) you think your work isn't good enough--cuz it probably is. 

You do not have to be an exlusive lover of the peter/claire pairing but if you are accepted you must have at least 2 paire icons when posting. As always, more than 3 icons go behind an lj-cut. If you are someone who simply enjoys watching these lovely icons as opposed to making them then by all means...join, watch, admire, and take---but remember to comment (cuz it's inspiring) and credit (cuz it's a must).

Can anyone join?
Yes of course! But you are not allowed to post unless you apply and I accept you.

How do I apply?
First you must join the community, then you apply HERE with:
- 4 or more icons of your own best work
- The name you'd like to post with
- And for extra measure (not necessary), a link back to your icon journal

Either I say yes and you're in, or I say no with some helpful words of advice on how you might improve. You are welcome to APPLY as many times as you want if you are not accepted the first time! 

Do I have to use an LJ-Cut?
Again, yes if there are more than 3 icons being posted at a time.

Can I post icons other than Peter/Claire themed ones?
Yes only if you have either peter (milo), claire (hayden), or heroes as a part of your post.

What about banners, wallpapers, other graphics?
These are absolutely allowed, but they must be posted behind an lj-cut and they must be the same quality (if not better) as your icons.

Can I post my requests?
Unless the graphic maker puts that in their post, then sorry...this is not a request community.

Are you mean to people?
I'm definitely not mean. If you would really like to post here then apply. The most I can do is reply with either a yes or no. I won't ever bite anyones head off!

Credit?
This is a must. if I catch people using icons that others have posted without giving these talented makers the proper kudos they deserve, then you'll be warned. Anthing after that and you'll be banned.

This was all created in good fun. Don't bash, flame, or disrespect anyone else. Keep it nice and sweet and this place should run pretty smoothly.
