Notes: It was a typical day for John in Pegasus: they got to the planet, the natives distrusted them, asked him and Rodney to marry and while Rodney (Rodney?) was talking to the native chief and saying "Bla bla bla... need to have a legal Earth witness... bla bla bla" and the native chief was nodding knowingly, John figured Rodney, smart, smart Rodney, was stalling and relaxed. And then Sam arrived and John was fitted for a skirt and all he could think of was: "How did this happen?". But, as all things with Rodney, it worked out in the end.

It'd be better if you saw Hong Kong crime thriller 'Infernal Affairs series' or 'The Departed', Martin Scorsese's hollywood remake version. Of course it's ok if you never saw neither of them. I really, really wanted to do more cast members. In fact, I had three different ones planned, each set at a different school. John and Ronon are at a school where they wear gakuran, the military-style uniform seen above; Teyla, Elizabeth, and Jennifer are at an all-girls school that wears sailor uniforms; and Rodney and Sam are at a school that wears ties and blazers. I was also originally going to actually draw a comic strip for each, or maybe write a ficlet, but that didn't happen, either. Woe. I may still someday. Anyway, for now there's John and Ronon. :D

Notes: Admittedly mechanical pterodactyls aren't the most efficient way for a flying machine, Steampunk or otherwise, and not a very likely or even possible path technology would take from an SF standpoint, but this way was much cooler visually than merely changing the puddlejumpers with pipes or gauges or whatever. I mean, they more or less look like flying lunch boxes. Not really realistic technology, but this is Stargate after all, and I'm pretty sure John would think mechanical, flying dinosaurs were cool.

The original is 30x40cm, so unfortunately I had to scan it in two parts, and you can see a slight line where I merged, because I fail at digital manipulation and didn't know how to make the two parts fit completely seamless.
